As long as you run the right amount of HSC & LSC and have the right spring rate, you can safely bottom out your suspension like this with no danger. It's only bad when the bike slams into full squish and transmits that force to the rider and components.

As most of you already know, you should use full travel during a race or you aren't benefitting from the bikes suspension as fully as you can. No point in having 8,9 or 10" of travel and setting the bike up to use only 6".

Put a straight edge down the back of the stanchion...straight as can be.

What you are 'seeing' is an illusion from the number plate on the front.

who needs bottom out bumpers when a seat tube and tyre can do the job just as well, eh?

What really makes you think is all the hard tail guys that put those stresses directly on their bodies time after time! Might be cool when you're young and trying to look all hard core but believe me that sh*t catches up with you later in life!

Lets see if there is some more Full squished from turning rather than from drops out there. Or maybe just from Sheer speed over the terrain.

Another not so great shot, the rear isnt squished out, but the front is

This one is just for comparision for the others I posted as well, Same fork, but on the Blindside.

Not squished, normal sag Blah Blah

Some of the pictures on here are far from fully squashed.

hucks to flat are an AWESOME thing to have on a race course...
Yeahhhh Josh Stark! Get it buddy!
That is my least favorite part of Beacon hill by far.
You have to huck to flat like that if you want to hit it fast. Ugh
Even his rear tire is screaming for mercy.

I must be the only person who finds these pics "unflattering".Kind of like a vagina.....In a completely clinical context.Ya know??Sure in the right lighting and under the right conditions they look great...but birthing a baby"in action" ??...not good.Anybody?.........no..?...........ok

This thread calls for a mandatory tutorial on proper sag and compression setup.
