Pork ribs slow coooked in the crock pot for about 17 hours.

And beer. Ribs without beer is like ribs without beer.
There is a problem with this though... I like to drink while I grill/bqq. Ribs take so long that I'm completely sh*t-housed by the time they're ready to eat.

I feel your pain. I had no idea what real BBQ was until I moved here. I had seen Reo's tiny shop when driving through town and it always smelled awesome. He cooks outside in the front of the place and it lofts across the street as you drive past.

Snoop was playing the Rose Garden and was doing an interview on the local metal station. He said his uncles joint had the best ribs on the west coast, so I figured I should give them a shot.

I can't say they are the best, but Reo's ribs are the best I've ever had.

Jackie's Ribs in Salem (not sure if it's still around or not) also has great ribs.

Who is BBQ Jones?

I like pork depending on where I am. In the South pork with dry rub. Out west especially in the Santa Maria area give me beef cooked over oak.

Agreed. Cole's on Portola is okay, but doesn't compare to this place where I'm from:

Also got spoiled with lots of really good Hawaiian/Polynesian BBQ there (Mormons converted a lot of islanders).

Oh yeah: pork x 10000

Kalua Pork...

There is a hole in the wall owned by some very large Hawaiians just down the street from work. Kalua Pork, sticky rice, and some macaroni salad. Awesome $5 lunch.

I have never made beef ribs myself. My pork ribs usually are spectacular. I recently had beef ribs at a Korean resturant and they were awesome.... I gotta learn to make them...
