I've decided to enter into the open this year but don't know what I should do. I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice about the DH or Indy Cross. I'm pretty good at DH but also good at the things in the indy cross. I cant enter both though so what would be better for someone doing their first open.

Indy Cross looks too tame. I haven't been on it, but are there any big jumps or more advanced options?

Edit: It looks like the person who will win will have the best tires for cornering and least rolling resistance.

So I have not ridden the indy cross yet, but what do you guys suggest to ride? I have an eastern night train 26" and a demo 9. Which one would be best? I would imagine the hardtail?

I would say your demo 9. The berms are too long and flat for a hardtail. Especially and eastern night train. I have ridden it on my black market and it was awful. If the berms were really steep I would say go for it, but they aren't, beside, you wont have enough stability on a hardtail.

anyone know when the deadline for registering is? I might give the indy cross race a shot. Trying to get my lady friend to try too but she needs time to think about it lol

def. the night train....indyx is smooth as hell and i thnk theres only like 2 jumps(from last year)both tiny...demo 9 would be 2 heavy and a night train is perfect with its 14.7" stays....just make sure u dont have street tires on there...
