Get the stuff from Costco. It's made in Japan, it's inexpensive, and people who more about Green Tea than I want to tell me it's decent.

It also has no dirty ****ing hippie directions on it...

Oh, I'm exhausted. I've been on this street a thousand times. It's never looked so strange. The faces ... so cold. In the distance a child is crying ... fatherless ... a bastard child, perhaps. My back aches, my heart aches, but my feet ... my feet are resilient! Thank God I took off my heels and put on my Himalayan walking shoes!

Have you guys been to Japan? One of my buddies went a long time ago and brought a ton of little stuff back. It was all translated so damn funny. Didn't make any sense.

English lit majors have to get a job somewhere.
Yup. When I worked at Mattel, we had a TON of copy writers. Some of the most creative people I've ever met. They know that the vast majority of what they have to write is pure drivel, but that it also pays the bills.

One of the cw's I worked with was a huge Venture Bros fan. I can't tell you how many meetings we derailled by starting to quote the show.

They make me write press releases, mag articles and other marketing materials at work. I is an engineer, me no good at it. It is one of my responsibilities that I hate. Of course our marketing and sales departments can't do it because they know nothing about our products. They just set up meetings to get other people to do their work.

In my experience, "marketing" is just the name for a group of employees with no tangible skills. I have noticed they are good at 2 things: communicating with other people who have no skills, and spending other people's money.

Interesting. I work in the Marketing department as a Sr. Art Director and seem to have quite a few tangible skills that have made me a comfortable living for some 12 years. Writing is not one of my skills, but then again that's what professional copywriters are for.

Seems to me that you have worked at some pretty poorly managed companies if they employed such a useless marketing team.

Hence the disclaimer "in my experience".

Also, at the company where this occured, the art directors were not in the marketing department. They were in the design departments.

And yes, this company in particular was terribly managed. Which is one of the reasons why I no longer work there.

I have no idea where I am
I've just been getting the Numi teas with caffeine from the coffee shop across the street.

They have a variety of more fruity teas that I haven't read the back of yet. I can only imagine.
