I think it looks promising, it the weight is down on that thing, for sure everyone is going to try n buy it. Poin 1 racing stem is also really nice if you think about weight

No offence to Azonic but with the likes of twenty6, sunline, e13, and point one, you would have really expected them to step up there game quite a bit. I'm really curious what the weight is on this thing.

+ 1.

How that could withstand heavy loading I do not know. But hey :imstupid:
Lower FoS than normal for bike bits that's for sure.... but all depends on how good their engineers and manufacturers are. Could be a recipe for disaster or absolutely fine.

Anyone know what grade / material it's made from?

Looks better than the E13 stem and wider than the Sunline. I'd rock it for a Boxxer.

from Pinkbike at Sea Otter:
First off we ran into Dave at Manitou. He informed me of a fancy new stem that Answer racing (yeah, they are back) is working on. It's SUPER light, and is going to feature the Answer "A" logo on the face plate. Offered in MRD Gold, and Anodized Red it's going to be fly

If the adjustment goes out to 60 mm, I'd be interested. Not many options in direct mount for tall guys like me... :(
You should get a bigger bike if you nee a longer stem.
Answer is just Manitou isn't it?
I'll happily keep my Po1nt one I think, even though these ones sit a mm lower.

A 10mm stem difference isn't the same as 10mm more in frame length. A longer stem allows some of us taller riders (or anyone) to get over the front in a more aggressive position and weight the front wheel more effectively in corners.
I am all for a 60-65mm integrated stem. Their old one was that long, hopefully this one is too.

Will you're not that much taller than me. Unless you've shot up a ton in the last year and a half. I ride a 50mm stem (sunline) and its fine for me (6'1")

I'm at 6'3 so no I haven't gotten much taller but for the past two seasons I have been on a 24"tt bike with a short front-center so the long stem really helps. I actually ran a 70mm Thompson this season and will be on a longer bike this season and am hoping to find a 60mm integrated. Its just personal preference i guess...

And my bike looks heavy while it isn't. Gentlemen please don't judge by the looks.
Imho it may be promicing and quite sexy. Will see how it works out.

The Answer stem apears to have an torsional strenght to weight ratio 1.423 times higher than the synchros.
