Considering some new bars?

Looking at getting some new bars. I have found a few that I am considering, but I have not seen very many reviews on all of them. Just wanting to see what people like or dislike about these bars. And I know, they all have crossbars. That's what I want.

1. DMR Wing Bar Cro-Mo
I have heard good reports about these, just wanted to show the complete list.

2. Fire Eye Fire Handlebar
I have heard nothing about these, but the price is good.

3. Gusset Prison Bar
Heard mixed reports.

4. Atomlab TrailKing 4130 Cromoly Riser
Again, mixed reports.

The DMR bars had a real weird sweep on them for me. The firefly bars are the only on the list that look descent. I have ridden the AL bars before and they were cool.

I've liked the NS Jalapeno(2.75") and the Blkmrkt Bada-booms(3.0").

Steer clear of a-lab bars.. they are super weak and bend really easily. Multiple accounts of that have been posted over the years. I personally have bent a set of pimps after ditching over a small 10' dub. my nempro's have taken three times the abuse and I have nothing but awesome things to say about them.

I had the atomlab GI's and bent them after about two weeks. I am currently running the Atomlab Trailkings(w/crossbar) and they are super strong. They have a like 0 upsweep though. I run them slightly forward. They're good and if you look around they can be found pretty cheap.

I would go with either something from sunline or if you want rise go with deity or something from NS or dobarmans new bar. All the bars you linked to a sort of sub par not that great, not at all fond of any of the companies either.

I have a 75 calibar fire eye I would part with... nothing wrong with them just feel exactly like mtb bars with upsweep.

USB bars are real nice and I am currently running some proto solid 3.5" bars on my molly.

I personally have had great luck with the Atomlabs - I bailed the other week at the local trails and the bike did half a backflip into the face of the next jump, probably 25' away, landing right on the bars. They aren't bent.

I have had some Black Markets. They were last years, and I think they lasted me about 4 months. They are bent pretty bad now. Luckily, they have a lifetime warranty.

i have the Gusset Open Prison 3" bars.... but I like my Nemesis Project Weezy 3.25" bars a lot better. There is more backsweep and they're more comfortable overal. Just depends what you like.

Well, so far, all the bars that people are recommending to me do not have a crossbar. Is there something wrong with a crossbar? I just figured it would be stronger. I'm a big guy, so stronger is better for me. I don't really care about the weight of the bar.

I've been thinking about trying a pair of the Tonic bars myself. theyre a sweet company and the bars have the same sweep as the S&M slam bars.

i have custom Solid steel 3.5" rise bars w/o a crossbar. I'm not especially big, nor do I break a lot of bars though. I'm not sure if 2" rise bars really need a crossbar. The angles are a lot shallower than on an 8" bmx bar.

7th pic down (i'm wearing a green t-shirt). I wanted high rise since my rigid forks are the equivalent of 50mm suspension and I'm 6' tall.
I have a second pair of the same bars, unpainted, for sale cheap. PM if interested.

Working with Solid to get the exact bars I wanted was a pleasant experience, though it ended up being a bit pricy. I recommend them. http://www.solidbmx.com/

by the way, they look strange because the bends are shallow and we are used to seeing MTB bars that are bent sharp. My bar is NOT designed for mountain bike shifters etc, nor is it designed to be cut short. Shallow bends are stronger. Most bmx cruiser bars are designed similarly because racers generally use wide bars.

I've got some custom Solid's on my USB. Love the rise although the sweep isn't perfect (but close). Like rpet said, the bends are low angle but work and I actually like the look of them now.

USB stuff is always a good buy. The only reason I'm not running them is I wanted a slighter taller bar.

Tonic bars are the way to go if you want some wide and tall 31.8 bars.

I've got 2 bars I'm looking to sell soon. Atomlab 2" and NS Districts. PM if you want some more info.

Well, I ended up going with the Fire Eye CaliBar-85. Hopefully it will be as good as the reviews say it is.
If you like MTB like upsweep you will love them.

I am running the solid bars right now that Don gave me over a year ago. Thanks again Don. I rode the usb bars most of this season at rays. More upsweep than the solid bars but less rise. The usb bars are quite a bit lighter but I needed more rise with the rigid fork.
