Morning all! Hope everyone's weekend was good. Warm here in the NE. Saturday was White Clay DE ride and a stop at Victory Brewing. Mmmmmm, good stuff, growler in the fridge.
Wife went to VT for Maple Fest, brought me back a Long Trail sampler pack AND an Otter Creek sampler. God, I love that woman!

Off to San Diego this week, big burritos and West Coast beer!

Have a great week all!

'Morning! Wow, this is an early GMT. What a beautiful weekend, and I actually got to enjoy it with a road ride. I don't recommend road riding with flat pedals, but you do what you gotta do. This is my last week before vacation!! Well, knee surgery actually, but a week off from work is a vacation no matter how you look at it. :monkey:

On Friday, I said this:
My Red Sox/Yankees prediction for this weekend: Red Sox sweep.
I am handsome and a genius. Sorry ladies, I'm married.

Morning monkeys!

Sat was work day for the condo, lasted till about 11. We went and helped the economy by buying some camera stuff from the Ritz camera that is now closed in Meriden. Sunday I got my cell phone turned back on after a 3 1/2 hiatus. In the afternoon, we had to attend an engaged couples thing so we could get married in the Catholic church.

Got to see the best parts of all 3 Red Sox wins.

Today, I'm stuck in the office.

Good Morning!!

Hanging out here at the house this morning and reviewing my notes from last week's training session at the home office for my first day at the new jorb. I'm meeting the CEO at the office today at 1pm to get started meeting everyone and get oriented on the particulars of the place. I'm as nervous as a whore in church, but ready to get things started and get all this behind me so I can start making some dough again.

The weekend was nice...beautiful weather and I spent it all outside. We had a fun session at some dirt jumps just down the road. I rode like crap and decided it was best I just play cheerleader and take some pics instead before I hurt myself so I didn't start my new job in a body cast. I've got a great shot of Manimal that I want to put up, but I'm going to wait until he gives me the go-ahead before I do. Meanwhile, here's a a sample of what went down.

My Red Sox/Yankees prediction for this weekend: Red Sox sweep.
i did recall that impressive forecast. great series, of what i caught.

what a great weekend...after work on friday, hit up some local trails and found a new and very impressive singletrack. saturday we did a hike in a local park w/ the family, went to baseball practice, and grilled. watched _Let The Right One In_ which i enjoyed quite a bit.

got up early yesterday, did a short road ride w/ my son, got back in time to see the large female snapping turtle cross the road and head back to the pond, then did a 40 mile solo ride. great weather.

grilled up some pork chops (honey-ginger glaze) and had a tremendous roasted bell pepper side tapas w/ olives and capers.

Good morning,

Went up to Prescott for the Whiskey Offroad. Large group of us stayed in a cabin and had a great time. Two members of our group completed the 50 mile event on single speeds (7100 ft. of climbing!) and two podiumed in the 25 mile event in their class (Kata with 3:19 and Tyler with 3:03= congrats!). All in all a great weekend in the pines.

Have a good day!

Hot hot hot weekend. Couldn't deal with the sweaty hand anymore and took off my splint. Trying to learn how to use my fingers again. Churned out over 200 miles on the road bike the past week. Legs are tired, will be resting.

'Morning. Put in 4 laps on Cypress on Saturday. Cruised almost all the gaps on Sex Girl. The last one remains. And now waiting for my hip to turn all kinds of shades of bruise. Can't wait to see the footage.

MOrning. Back to work today. Just got back from Moab last night at 8. Unpacked, showered, hit the bed and woke up. Tired as eff.
Moab was good. Temps were good. Really windy weekend out there though. Had to fight a really bad cross wind on Porky saturday. Did Sovereign friday, then the slickrock practice loop till we decided it was WAY too dangerous to keep riding with how windy it was. Saturday we did Porky. YEsterday we did Klondike to Baby Steps. Legs feel good, taint does not. Still getting used to putting in some saddle time.

Good weekend, lots of riding.
Friday, rode to a friend's bakery, about 12 miles, hung out, had some beer, fish & chips.
Woke up early Saturday, shuttled all day, had my rear derailleur snap in half, then ride up the chain and jam into the cassette. Fortunately, that was near the end of the trail, all downhill.
Rode to a local pub to meet some friend's last night, ended up staying (and drinking) a bit more than I intended. I think I'm still a little drunk at work this morning...

Good Monday Monkeys!

Spent Saturday in a moto dust bowl with gonefirefightin and had a blast in East Fort Rock. Spent Sunday enjoying the sunshine building home projects at the new place.

I took a very large fallen branch from the old house and I am building an 8' cat tree out of it. Should be interesting. The base of the branch is about 6" across. Kitty is going crazy in the new digs because we haven't let him outside yet. I am hoping the real tree will be enough entertainment for him. I'll post up pictures when it's all done.

lyme?

going to the doc at 1130 for a "real" opinion.

I blame the dog.
Yikes. How long was it on for? They usually have to be on for an average of 24 hours for them to spread Lyme disease (if the tick even is a carrier). I had one that looked like that and I ended up ok. Always good to check though.

I rode this saturday and helped a friend move. Both of my shoulders hurt now. ugh.

never saw what bit me!

doc said "it could be lyme." but of course any test for it will take a few weeks to come back positive.

so she gave me a script for doxy and I'm supposed to watch for any symptoms and I can get tested anytime I want. I say - the fewer needles, the better!

Dang well hopefully it isn't that and just a nasty bug bite.

That doc sounds like a quack btw. The doctors here knew where specific ticks live and what % of them are carriers etc. They were really informative.

Bike race this weekend. Pretty excited! Hope my cardio starts coming back and my shoulders stop hurting. Surgery for sure at the end of the season. Doh.
