Hello, monkeys. Everyone have their coffee? Good.

I've got my last pre-surgery therapy session today. The last session resembled more of a gym workout than therapy, so I am sure today will be another ass kicker. At least I get to leave work early for it.

Wife seems to have a butt kicker of a cold. Wonder where she got that. :monkey: Personally, between my recent knee, stomach bug and cold issues, I think she is just looking for some attention.

Is it Friday yet?

Allergies are hitting me in the face like a 100lb bag of monkey feces. On the way to work with my windows down my left eye almost swelled shut, and couldn't stop sneezing until I got into the building.

Phil/Randee - do you guys take turns posting in the GMT thread by switching off on the computer? Or does the other person just have you log into their account and type what they tell you to type? I'm rather curious.

During GMT hours, we post from our respective places of employment. While at home, we switch off on the computer or we are on separate computers (we have a desktop and a laptop).

Morning monkeys!

It's annual "do nothing day" as tomorrow starts my 2 week vacation. Nothing like a little stress before I leave, though. I was trying to plan this trip about 2 months ago and nothing has gone right. It took a month too long to close on the house, my HUGE project at work got pushed out, the sale of a previous employer (of whom I still own stock) has drug out for more than a month, and the IRS says they still don't show my 1040x that includes my $8k new home buyer credit. So instead of having a boat load of cash in the bank, I am shoe string budgeting my road trip. Yeah!

Never the less, I STILL need a vacation and while nothing on my end has moved correctly, it doesn't mean the world has stopped, either.

Speaking of allergies Im going to get allergy tested today. Nothing says fun day like hundred needle pokes, injected with who knows what and not being able to scratch for an hour and a half. Wo hooo.

MBC if you have it even half as bad as Kevin did on Thursday he deserves a good kick in the shin... Stupid facebook.

Oh yah, here are a couple recent pics (our weather is crazy right now)
No doubt! It was brisk on Saturday and by noon it was hot. I took my jacket off and 20 minutes later it was colder than it was in the morning. On my way home via Santiam it started snowing! WTF is up with that crazy climate?

I am heading down south to work on the boats again tomorrow after lunch. No internet, so you will all no doubt miss me terribly.

We have the landlords coming for dinner tonight to talk about a rent reduction if they want us to stay here. Rent prices keep going up, while holiday makers spend less. We told them we want a 20% reduction in the rent or we'll have to look elsewhere. Lets hope. It is the same all over the resorts, so they know the score. Other ski chalet companies are folding left, right & center...

So, today was cleaning, cleaning, then more cleaning. Hate it.

Yo.

Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
Morning all. Beautiful weather here but it's supposed to rain later so hopefully I can get out the bikes and ride with Syd before that happens.

Yesterday I was at a conference all day so I didn't get to report on the weekend so here goes:

Had a fun ride on Friday night...It was my 575's maiden voyage. I learned a few things: It's big, the brake levers are way to far out for me to reach, my bars are much wider than I am used to so I fear they will fail soon (carbon bars don't like repeated knocks into trees at high speeds---see the brake thing), it's superlight and climbs like crazy, I go fast down hills (and manage to scare the guy in front of me)...yeah, new bikes ROCK!!!

Tested out my new Mavic shoes briefly (I didn't have them ready for my Friday night ride) -- first impressions are WOW!!! They are really light, breath-able and so adjustable. My feet were so comfy in them. I'll do a full review after I use them a couple more times, but so far I give them :thumb: :thumb:
