Drink.

Throw litte rocks at miserable goths visiting Edgar Allen Poe's grave.

Drink more.

Preferably in that order.

The area around the inner harbor is great. Tons of shops and resturants, The aquarium is definitely worth a visit. ESPN zone is also fun if you've never been.

What Westy said is fun to.

I thought drinking was a given.
Amateurs.

OK...walk around the inner harbor eating & drinking.

Anyone got any recommendations on spots on the other end of the spectrum of ESPNZone?

Crystal meth and drive by shootings.

If that's not your thing, the Baltimore Aquarium is pretty sweet (and right on the inner harbor)

The Fells Point area has some pretty decent little Irish pubs and other types of bars.

Also, some people seem to like the big open-air markets, like Lexington Market. I've never been, but I've heard they are cool.

Score some crack and go hog wild like some kids from the suburbs. Get some soft shell crabs once the crack wears off. That's what I would do. Franklin Sq is pretty happening if you like to be assaulted or shot at. West Baltimore is kind of fun if you like gunplay....

If you can get to the Inner harbor, there is a water taxi that will take you all over the place for $8 per person. It's an all day pass, so you can go to the inner harbor and drink, go to fort McHenry look at cannon balls, and then go to Fells Point and drink some more. Best deal in town and good way to see the city and enjoy the water.

The aquarium is really nice but can be very crowded. Seems like every big city thinks it's cool to have and aquarium so it's not that unique either. I highly recommend going to the American Visionary Art Museum. It's a short walk from the inner harbor. http://www.avam.org/ One of it's key patrons is John Waters. It's got some freaky stuff like a 20' statue of Divine and a lot of outsider art made by crazy people, very hip and cool. The Museum of Science and Industry is also really good. (right across the street from AVAM) While you're there climb up to the top of Federal Hill for a good view of the city. More good shops and bars are on Light Street in the opposite direction from the harbor, in the Federal Hill neighborhood.

Have fun, Baltimore is a kick ass town. Only f'tard would waste it by going to the ESPN zone. WTF? And don't worry about getting shot. It's not that bad (during the daylight hours anyway).

I have no idea where I am
Is baltimore a hot bad for crack & meth heads?

Thanks urbaindk!!!!
Balmer is like any other inner city.

Check out the convention center, if nothing else take note of how big it is. It takes up 3 city blocks.

I used to do the largest American Craft Council craft fair there, ACC Baltimore, 1000 exhibitors. It blew my mind how large the show was.

I'll have to echo the Fells Point comments. Max's Taphouse is awesome. SO MANY beers on tap! (Google it). And that $8 water taxi ride gives you a coupon for buy one beer get one free at Max's, so that practically pays for itself. :)

It all depends. Are you going to be there during the day or night? Are you staying in a hotel? And are you bringing your bike? Oh, and as to crystal meth and drive by's, if you haven't been paying attention, look at my bottom tag line below all my posts. Baltimore is pretty cool, it's just you have to stay out of "certain areas" or you might wind up robbed or shot. I'd explain here but some might have a fit if I am not politically correct so we'll just leave it at that. There's a lot to do but on a Monday afternoon, pretty much tourist spots, bars, a ton of bars, and lots of beer and food. Federal Hill bars are cool, Fells Point bars are cool, not sure on a Monday, there's the Inner Harbor water front, the five story Galleria across from that, Little Italy, Canton Bars, the Train Museum, the Museum of Industry, (I once got a snarlin narlin from a girl in the back with no one watching), the National Aquarium is awesome and on a Monday it probably won't be too crowded. I can look into other stuff but I would need to know when you are going to be there, time of day, how long etc. Then there's aways sitting at Philips at the water front and eatting Maryland's famous steamed crabs. Problem is, most people not born here think it's too much work to get to the food. Marylander's look at it as not a waste of 2 or 3 hours, we look at it as a way to sit with friends, have a few drinks, and eat and chat for a few hours. You'll be hungry an hour or two later. But they are delicious. Shame you don't have all day. I'd show you my trails in the park. Need more info though to help you out.

If it's monday the 29th, you could catch an orioles game and sit and watch them lose with the rest of us.

I've been to that show as well. It is mind blowing, took us hours to get through and see everything?

The Brewers Art located on Charles street.

Great, Great beer down in the catacombs and even a really stylish restaurant up top.

My favorite spot to hit when in town. Maybe Urbaindk can give you a little more detail.

Good info thanks.

We will have no car, be staying in a hotel downtown & no bikes. The water taxi, bar hoping & crabs sound good to me. :D
