'Morning, monkeys. It's a cloudy and soon to be rainy morning here. This weekend was largely uneventful, chock full of a whole lot of nothing. I've finally got my knee surgery tomorrow morning and need to start taking the drugs for it tonight.

Need to go find something to eat....

Morning. Got some things done, despite the rain. Saturday got about 17 miles in, best part was doing a clinic and teaching a kid to ride a bike. That look on their face when they take off riding on their own the first time is priceless.

Happy week ahead I hope.

Good Morning!!

Although threatening, it never rained here throughout the weekend. The wife had me out cutting in new flower beds all weekend, so today I'm stiffer than Wolf Blitzer on Soul Train. I did manage to sneak out with Nice Guy Mike and do little fishing Sunday morning. We caught a few, but left some for the other fishermen.

Busy morning here.....central office computer systems are down, so lots of handwritten service orders until that gets fixed.

Y'all have a great day!!

Hi everybody!
I managed to have a fun weekend and squeeze in a street ride Sat. and a 52 mile road ride yesterday under blue skies. I'm sick of the rain too but what can you do right?

I got an email from an HR manager about a job in Colorado for which I applied. I hope to have an interview this week. THAT would be cool, so keep your fingers crossed for me.

I hope your surgery goes well tomorrow IAB. :thumb:

Morning all,

Great weekend. Saturday I did a 4 hour ride at Vietnam. Sunday morning I did a 2 hour ride at Rayburn then after lunch I went down to Providence to demo some bikes. They had a little loop set up that climbed up a steep hill over a log pile (that you could jump the other way), went down through some sweeping turns, a little ditch and a little rock drop/jump that depending on where you hit it was anywhere from 1'-3'. Not much but enough to get a feel for the bikes. I didn't have much time so I only demoed a Nomad, a Maverick ML8, and a Cannondale Rize. Then I raced home to ride Sutton WW for almost 3 hours. My legs were a bit weak by the end of the day. We followed the last ride up with a bite to eat at Tony's. If the rain holds off I'm hoping to get in a road ride tonight.

this morning , the hot water in my bathtub wouldn't shut off , so I had to turn the Hot water off, till I get home tonight and replace the washers .

No riding this weekend. weather was horrible. Tons of rain. We never get rain out here. If we do, it's only for about 20 minutes. It rained all day long saturday. Went shopping with the lady. Ugh.

Saw Wolverine yesterday. It effen rocked.

Work today, soccer practice for the hobbit, then off to hike and get some good pics for our wedding invitations.

Take care IAB! Did they give you the option of watching? My Ortho thought it was cool that I wanted to watch.

Morning all. Had a busy weekend. Missed my regular Friday night ride because I took a bunch of my kids to a Solo Festival...they did well, but I missed my ride so I was a little sad. Saturday I took my sister her soon-to-be step daughter, and my daughter to order their flower girl dresses and run some errands for the wedding. Sunday we had an AWESOME turn-out at our trail building, bbq and ride! 18 of us got 3 new sections of trail built, ate some lunch and then had a great 2 hour ride. I even got some of the girls to ride some stunts (a bridge, a couple of skinnies and a teeter). It was really a great way for us to kick off our LUNA season. Hopefully the rain stays away long enough for me to squeeze in a quick ride tonight, but if not then I will have to drink beer instead.

Mornin all. I'm tired today, can't break through. I see light, but I don't see the light.

Might do a short track race after work tomorrow. That is all

Good luck IAB.

Got my behind kicked by the boogieman on Saturday. discovering other parts of my body that took a beating today... But the bike survived, and both wheels are still straight as arrows, so all's well...

(I'd also done a pedal up Fromme Mt earlier on Saturday, so I got in some non-shuttle riding too. So sore...)

Morning everyone!

I got my first top 10 finish in pro on a local dh race this weekend! 8th place! SCORE! Mark Weir murdered the rest of the class by seriously beating everyone by over 10 seconds. Oh well, I am pumped on my best result of the season so far!

Thanks guys! I am SUPER pumped! =]

Something I found that works great for me is to just be as relaxed as possible. Race at 75% so you don't hurt yourself and be sure to save energy for the finish! So many people make the mistake of racing too hard and crashing.

ROCK IT PEACH!

Also got a pretty epic looking photo of my finish (chainless)

No, I'm getting a general anaesthesia. I've got to begin the anti-nausea meds tonight. My knee is all sorts of wrecked.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes.
Good luck man! Everything should go smoothly!

Be sure to ask for pain meds as soon as you wake up. For me at least, I woke up in the worst pain I have ever had after my shoulder surgery. Just ask and you shall receive!

BAwwwwww. I watched. Nothing like seeing them carry a shiny-wet deep red ribbon across the room over to a table and turn it into your new ligament...

Sounds of power tools...

Yes. My buddy just got his done and ran out of pain meds. He left me a pretty pathetic voicemail...

I forwarded it back to him with a one work intro from me: "pvssy".

Oh come, on... you'll do the same once yours is all over and done with.

You'll be fine.... I've had several knees surgeries over the last few years. I've watched a few and been out for a few. It doesn't make a difference to me as long as they get me fixed up enough so I can blow it out again later on doing something stupid. :busted:
