Mrs. Chief has some long ass crank arms on her XSmall RM Flatline. She doesn't need anything super burly, or pimp just functional and maybe on closeout. she isn't over 130 pounds, so I was thinkiing the shimano SLX cranks look cool.

The SLX cranks come in 170, or 175 only. If that's cool with you, get the dual ring(FC-m665) version. That one has steel pedal inserts and would be better for FR/DH than the regular triple ring version of the same crank.

gravity lights, even hones would word if you are trying to save some cash. they are relatively light and plenty strong

saw the SLX's on a trek session and thought they would look cool. thats why I threw those out there. I also thought since they were LX level they would be cheap. I was wrong.

I ike the gravity lights, my FSA cranks have been pretty reliable. I don't know what BB size it is though the RM site doesn't say. I'll dispatch an e-mail....

She isn't taking air and slamming hard, she may hit a rock or two but riding longer cranks is probably teaching her about pedal awareness in rocky sections.
