Just a quick post :

The lift ops at the bottom were rediculous on Saturday 5/2.

3 guys working, not doing anything.

When you have single riders, DOUBLE THEM UP!!!!!
the lift line had a 10 minute wait, WTF.

Also, my lift ticket wasn't checked till 3pm when Mr. Hand came down from the top.

Senseless bable ended.

Yeah I definitely don't think it's the lift operators job to coordinate people on the lift. When I've been there by myself I'll just invite the next person in line to share. Really not a big deal, unless you have severe social anxiety or something.

Well, mr a hole lift operator didn't check my lift ticket at all. I actually didn't even have on my bike, I left it in my pocket the whole time. THis worries me. I don't know what will become of the lift operators.

I havent read down yet (ooh FO-PA!) but I must agree.

Ideally the lift operators SHOULD manage that it is the job of the resort to provide the best experience, it is the srtandard at ski resorts!

BUT, if someone gets in a bucket by themsleves and you foolishly wait for the next one, or you're looking to ride alone? NFG!!! If the lifties wont do it, its on you to fill those buckets - 3 per, and no nancy whining!

Throwing this whining comment out there, not liking the whole "please put ticket on the handlebar" rule this season.

My lift ticket is getting roled tighter than a joint on my front brake line. If they got an issue its going back on the seat post!

kinda on the same topic... what's the consensus about guys cutting in line to fill in with the single riders?

i remember last season, some guy cut in front of me(during one of the days there was a longer line too), right where the trail exit and line meet, and said since he's a single rider, he's allowed to cut in and fill in with another single rider. i wasnt too happy, but i didnt really see any rules posted saying otherwise.

i know some ski resorts do the "group" and "single" lines, but dont think thats the case here.

That's the way it is at most ski areas, and as a result, chairs are usually full and more people get up the mountain faster. It's usually faster to go through the singles line.

If you insist on riding with your bff, then you can wait. If your willing to ride with anyone to keep things moving faster, then you get to go first.

That's the way it should be.

I agree that the lift operators should get off their asses to organize the line this way, but if they don't then it's up to the riders to self organize, or wait longer.

What's the difference if it's 30 or 29 or 15. Singles should team up at the front of the line.

if my friend is in front of any of you in line, i am jumping in the car with him. not like me jumping in his car is slowing any of you up to get to the top of the mountain. now a group of people jumping in line, thats a different story.

Yea, some skinny emo wanker gave me a hard time about it this weekend.

I have no problem with this being the rule. But if you want it to be a rule, please post it somewhere. Otherwise I just think its skinny-emo-wanker-lift-ticket-rent-a-cop getting a hardon for his job and having a little power trip.

The only reason I don't like putting them on my brake line is because I don't wanna risk cutting into the hose when taking it off. I'm just paranoid like that.

No, but I have no issues with putting a sticker on my brake line then cutting it off!

EDIT: though I would have an issue with some pimply faced kid in women's stretch jeans telling me what to do.

The new batch of lift operators really suck.
The crew they had 2 years back were much better than the current lift operators.

1) we should be able to put our passes where we want to for a whole bunch of reasons. As long as the riders the ticket is made accessable to the lift operators whats the big deal.

2) they should be paying more attention to people jumping the line and riders coming down and crowding the area where riders are exiting from the track. They should be making sure that every chair has at least 2 riders when there are lines. They should be looking out for riders doing stupid stuff at the bottom of the lift that could be endangering other people like the water park crowd.

3) they should be explaining some common sense stuff to younger and novice riders. Eg dont stop on the track, always look behind before stopping and let faster riders pass.

Particularly the older taller guy has a major attitude problem. Many riders have complained and he continues with his bad attitude. Frankly he should be fired by now. Diablo should be listening to the riders that are its source of income instead of shoving morons like this guy down our throats.

my issue with cutting the line was the guy who rolled the bucket with me and my bud, bragged about flat landing the new 13' drop the whole way up, cause he was such an awesome rider (later in the day we watched him get zero air on the deviant mini tables loser!!), he got his left pedal caught on the bucket trying to get out then twisted the bike around and bent 4 of my spokes.

It's not even that, no need to worry about cutting into the hose, shouldn't even need to cut the ticket off (simple little trick). I'm more paranoid then anyone about my stuff.
