Ok first off...im sorry for the dumb questions I know you guys get this **** all the time.

In my other post I concluded I def want a slopestylish bike...but now as Im looking over my options I am lost again...

I was set on a Bass but the bottlerocket looks sweet too...they seem about the same price but after trying to read up on them...half say the bass eats up the bottlerocket and vice versa...

I want a bike I can get some gnarly air (to do backflips and similar tricks) but also go hit some aggressive trails...so rocket or bass? or should I just get whichever I can find at a better price?

Don't know what kind of pricing you guys can get on bikes over there in the US, but have you considered the Banshee Wildcard, or the Mongoose Nugget?
The Wildcard pedals real good and I've been using it as my AM, Street, DJ and mini DH bike.
The Nugget, I can honestly say I've never ridden, but if the suspension works the same throughout their range... It will pedal better than all the other frames already listed.

i have no complaints with my bottlerocket. i literally had it at some local dj and stunt trails on wednesday and on the podium at a DH race on saturday. very fun bike, a tad heavy but burly as heck. you really can't go wrong with either bike as both companies have great customer service.

I have always been leaning towards the Kona but I want to explore all my options.

The norco doesnt seem a whole lot lighter at 34lbs because isnt the Bass only 35? and the bottlerocket is just under 40lbs at 39.XX?

The nugget doesnt seem like a bad bike and its in the same price range as the others, the wildcard is about a grand more than the Bass/Bottlerocket/Nugget

So far the Bass is still ahead since I have talked to a couple people that have either a Bass or a Cowan DS and have nothing but good things to say about them and I could get one locally.

go single speed if you can. I'm not the biggest fan of kona, but not having derailleurs while jumping is great.
unless you're a big boy like me and flex the heck out of your chainstays coming out of the bmx gate causing your singlespeed setup to pop off of the rear cog thus throwing you OTB into the first jump successfuly breaking your wrist ;)

I've never done anything that spectacular, but I've got one frame that's too flexy for me to run SS at this point. I've also had to retire a road frame because it was so noodly I couldn't get a geared drivetrain to work on it. Thing ghostshifted like a mofo under power.

I have a Bottlerocket, and I like it. I'm too tired to type much up right now, but look through the Transition forum on MTBR, and you'll find all you need to know about it.

you can keep the chain on the rear if you put guides on either side of the cog, larger cogs or something, someone did this a few years ago, looked alittle funny but worked great!

The Bottlerocket has 5.5" of travel and the Double has 3.5" of travel (or something like that). And they have different angles (Bottlerocket is slacker)

A friend just got rid of a Bottlerocket for a Bass. He hasn't looked back at all. The Kona can be SS without a chain tensioner.

They are 2 different animals. Like stated above, a bottle rocket and be used for almost ANYTHING. It can take a downhill beating, and I know a guy who periodically takes it on xc rides.

I sat on a bass the other day. The head angle is litteraly 70 degrees I think, it has a really short cockpit, and high bottom bracket.

If all you do is jumping, and slopestyle stuff, get the bass. If you like to ride trails too, bottle rocket! Yes, the Bottle rocket is more burly than the Bass too.
