james, i'll be in nassau county, out in east meadow. i'll literally be living on the hospital grounds: walking commute to work ftw. during the upcoming year we'll scout out nicer places to live in the vicinity, trading a bit of a commute on the scooter for nicer digs.
Ah, Nassau. Classic. Well, enjoy! I went to high school out on the North Fork, nice place, if a bit quiet for a high school kid. Scooters rule, I can't wait to live somewhere where it makes sense for me to own one.

Sorority house. Senior year of college. 42 high-maintenance chicks. 24 of us sharing one room for sleeping (picture orphanage with bunk beds).

:banghead:

Edit: 41 high-maintenance chicks, present company is excluded

Too many pillowfights?

How the hell did you get suckered into a pit of despair like that as a senior. That is a total freshman mistake.

GO! SEAHAWKS!
Oh yeah....I'd never live out there....I just meant is was nice be outside of Seattle... I like the outdoorsy stuff to be done out there. I loved the lifestyle, and the weather IN THE SUMMER. But I did not much care for the traffic, weather in the winter....and other stuff.

But no, you'd never catch me living in Marysville or anything......

I'd love visiting Seattle (if it didn't involve my wife's family), but I'd never want to set up shop there....
I totally agree, well can't comment about your wife's family, but Seattle is a pain in the a**. This place is too 'blue' for my taste.

Spent a couple years working out in So-Cal. If you could afford to live in the right place and work nearby it looks like a great place. If not it seems to be a nightmare. My job wanted me to move out to Chatsworth, I turned it down, very smart move on my part.
Chatsworth would be a great spot if you like riding bikes. And porn.

Clemson, South Carolina wasn't bad as a College student cause I was drunk most of the five years I lived there. But I would never ever live there or anywhere in SC by choice, I certainly would never raise kids there.

It wasn't uncommon to see the local industry workers when I went out to eat for lunch. I always washed my hands before using the bathroom if I had to touch the doorknob.

The riding was plentyful but meh. Quality>quantity. YMMV.

You choose whats worse:

Laredo Texas. about a mile from the border.

What a Sh!thole. House had tarantulas, yard had fire ants, it was hot as hell, humid, the AC was broken and I don't speak spanish. Good mexican food though, everywhere.

OR

Siloam Springs Arkansas:
Dry Town, no beer or anything at all. Church maniacs everywhere 4 Churches per square mile average (for real), Absolutely nothing to do.

Downstairs of house was under construction (I rented only the upstairs for $375/mo), floor was flimsy (i.e. you could rock the place by bouncing in the middle of the floor), none of the windows would completely close, and I had a pawn shop across the street whose alarm would go off around 2:00 AM a couple times a week. Also had a railroad about 200 yards away... once I had a bad hangover and a train came by blowing its whistle and made me have to throw up for an hour.

Equal suckage in both locations for different reasons.

I can't believe you lived in Siloam. Must've been awful.

colorado springs is the worst place you lived.....you have a job and are not homeless...shut the fvck up.
I'd certainly rather be homeless and unemployed in Portland than employed living a middle class Christian lie in Colorado Springs, thats for sure. So you shut the fvck up.
