So I have come to the conclsion that my pedals are the limiting factors in my race runs. I continually slips off of them regardless of the fact that I do wear 5-10's. Right now I am using azonic's but I am in the market for something better. Recommendations wanted. Give me your thoughts.

Straitlines or Atomlab Aircorps. I'm currently running the latter and aside from a bit of end float developing rather quickly, they are solid, very grippy and super thin.

I run these with 5-10's (stick like crazy glue)

These are the second generation of Race Lites pedals from us, these share the same axle manufacturing process as the GloryHoles and use a slightly smaller bearing system, They use dual radial bearings on the outside and a Super Oil-Lite bearing on the in-side, They are the lightest pedals we offer at just over 500 grams for the set!

features

* CNC'd 4140 Aircraft Quality Alloy Steel Axles, Austempered and Black Oxide Coated
* Dual Cartridge Type and Super Oil-Lite Bearing
* 6061-T6 Billet Aluminum
* Allen key and 24 3/8 and 7/16 pin

ill second the aircorps too. over time they develop a lot of play because of their bushing design, but they do stick to your feet great and are relatively light.
ive been using the same pair for 5 years with no problems other than the float. i bought a brand new pair last year of the old design and im just starting to use them now.

There are plenty of good pedals out there, and everyone has a personal preference, whats yours? Do you want light, heavy, thin, thick, cheap, ridiculous grip, type of pins, color matched, anodized, powder coated, aluminum, magnesium, steel axle or titanium axle?

I use the Deity Decoy pedals, fairly light and thin for their price, $80 if I remember right. They offer more than enough grip with the 5.10's.

I was just looking on Welgo's site they seem to have some new pedals for 2010. Im looking at the b117. Looks nice, light, and thin with some removable/ replaceable pins.

After I ripped out most of the pins and wore the bearings out of my azonics, I went with kona wah wahs. They have a noticeably better grip.. which I'm sure is partially because of their low profile. Sofar they have held up well to rocks too.

I don't remember paying near 90 bucks for them though.. did prices go up? :shocked:

edit: I seem to remember being cautioned about magnesium pedals if you ride in rocky places. Something about them being softer?
