I have recently purchased a Leatt brace and after i set it up. i cant get my head back enough. The limiter is all the way down but i am thinking its my helmet.(661 flight HEX)-large. the helmet bends down in the front and the back making it impossible for me to look foward. While i am just riding around the street i cant get my head up comfortably without it having pressure on the brace.

Are there any DOT approved helmets that bend "up" in the back? Would this cause me to break my neck?

Did you flip the brackets in the back around? If you look they aren't symmetric and can be flipped, thus lowering the back piece even more.

Flip those little nuts in back and it will allow for more adjustability. (Thanks to ChrisKring for this tip)

Will switching the nuts upside down make the brace have too much, i dont want to risk ending up breaking my neck because i have "too much" extension. Are you guys sure this is safe.

I were mine with a Fox V3 moto helmet and it sits right on the brace but its seems thats the prefect spot. Even when I ride desert and moto my helmet sits on it so I have just gotten use to it.

It'll be safer than not wearing one and allow you to ride comfortably.

it is of little use to ask other people about their fitment experiences. (or maybe I just diverge of the average a lot)
To use my TLD D2 with a leat brace I had to put it in the lowest position with flipped nuts and then grind of 1cm of the helmet to get enough clearance. A friend of mine also has a TLD D2 and he doesnt even have to put the rear wing in its lowest position.

Just bougth a Bell Drop today. Have to try it on some trails first but it seems that I need to grind some of again.

well it all depends on neck lenght really and riding stye, what works with one person may not necesarrily be the case for another. i just got my Leatt and i use a D2, i havent been riding yet but i have set it up to where i believe it should be comfortable. i havent had to flip any nuts yet...
