Thanks for pointing Rhys out. Rhys is only 17 years old and already finishing 13th at world cups... Watch out for this kid... He's only been racing for 3 years and getting quicker by the minute. I think he is also Australian Junior Champion.

Yes that was me, hehe! Not very happy with run, had a crash on top and a out of control two feet out before cannonball, but on bottom part my hands were dead.. too much high speed for me on the new boxxers and I think i need to go to a gym, hehe
Thanks! I tried my best, hehe! But las time I rode here i was 9th, haha so not quite good performance compared to last time, but happy to ride such a high demanding track with so many profesional riders and be able to make it to the final

Not to get all techno-geeky, but Fabien mentioned in the DirtTV vid he wasn't running spikes. He also recorded the fastest speed trap and was clearly the fastest rider on the day. Does anyone know if other riders chose to ride spikes/cut spikes and perhaps lost some speed and time through the course, as opposed to a faster rolling tire with less traction? Or were most people running the standard set of rubber? Just a thought

Freecaster "summary" video of the DH is phenominal IMO....is a nice original take...
Fabien ran full spikes for his race run. You can ask Cesar Rojo above since he is on his team or you can listen to the rest of the interview to hear that he ran full spikes. It sounds a bit in the first part like he said that he didn't but listen again.
Looks like not that many people ran full spikes, maybe some cut downs but not full.
A few questions:
was it Gee that smacked his head of the tree in the MtbCut video? that looked like a big hit to the head...
And someone asked it before, but was FB running WTB tires?
and finally, any confirmation that Pedemenaud was indeed cut from Kenda Morewood after having so recently been picked up?

Freecaster being weird for me too. Blue bar says it's full downloaded but only gets about 2 mins into the film then stops. Looks like a good vid though so far....

It would be nice to see everyone on the podium remove their hats for the national anthem after each race. It's a classy move, but I realize it might be asking too much - god knows how most of these guys love their hugeflatbilled hats.

Greg's hat is white with white embossed logos on it. Much like the black monster hats with black monster claws, Black rockshox hat with black boxxer embossed, so and on and so on.
And no one 'makes money' for wearing a hat on the podium.
