I also would not want to race under the imposed pressure of douche baggery. Who in their right mind would want to race bikes under the same stupid conditions as going to work the night shift down at the local dildery.

Props to him for keeping it fun.

By "official" I meant the news is direct from him, not some internet rumour-mill!

Good for him. I hope he takes as much time as he needs to recover from his injuries etc and doesn't come back just for sponsors needs. Hes a killer rider and I am sure he will be back.

cool- i'm glad you know the whole story.

not saying that i do. but do you know that the only reason rennie hasnt been getting results is due to being out of shape? if so, then hooray for you and your grand knowledge.

He isn't getting results because he's slower than the guys in front of him.
He says he's taking time off and train. What more do you need?

Out of shape, injuries, lack of motivation, not having fun, gas :secret:whatever it is, it's his job to produce, he isn't and now he is taking time off.
All facts bud, it ain't rocket science.

I like the big man. I hope he gets it sorted and gets back at it, but none of that changes the reality of having a job that requires you to produce.
Not allot of guys get paid to race DH. I'm sure the expectations are high if you're one of them.

He does look like he could lay off some of the junk food once in a while. Look at the other top pros. Those guys are all lean as eff. Rennie, not so much.

I watch UFC all the time and it bugs the hell out of me when a guy comes in with bad cardio. THey're being paid to be a pro fighter. They are supposed to be in optimal shape when it's fight time. They only have to perform a few times a year. If they can't be in absolutely phenomenal shape when it's their time to perform, then maybe they should step down and let someone else take their spot. There are always a lot of other people in line that will try harder. Sometimes you need an eye opener too. When you don't perform like you thought you could, it's time to go train harder. Time for Rennie to hit the treadmill.

To be fair to the lad, I think it's more to do with injuries and mindset than body weight. He is naturally a big guy, sure, but I think his lull in performance is due to psychological issues probably brought on my his knee injury and some crashes which can't have done the injury any good.

Cut him some slack.

He's an awesome rider and an awesome guy. I wish him well.

If anyone here has seen the movie This Is Australia, Rennie says in his section he's one of the only guys who doesn't train at all, and he just goes out and has fun on his bike doing DH runs. Maybe that has something to do with his lack of success.

Jeebus people! It should be fairly obvious that its not just a sore knee or his physique that's setting Nathan back(an those two things are probably closely related).
Stop clutching at straws annnnnn
Give the guy a break.:disgust:
