Good Morning!!

Kinda tired today....the last couple of evenings I've spent at the hospital visiting gramps. He's winding down and they're keeping him comfy until things do what they do. Pretty much the same thing this evening. Pick up the boy...get dinner ready and hang out until the wife gets home so I can get over to see him. I'll definitely need some time at the DJ's this week to de-stress.

Morning all. GH, sorry to hear of your Gramps, hope all turns out well or as well as it can, given the circumstance.

If it makes you feel any better, I had a salad completely from my own garden last night and some Shipyard Summer Ale that my loving wife carted back from Maine for me.

Losing people sucks, hang in there GH.

Early in the office today, lots to do before I take off tomorrow. Swapping weekends with the wife is not fun, but oh well. My trip to Cali will be a good one, I'll make sure of it. So I guess today is my Friday, sans apple fritter.

What's funny is when Krispy Kreme moved in across the street, they came over and gave out a bunch of free donuts and coupons and whatnots. But my company has a standing order with Beaverton Bakery that brings fresh (and I mean still warm sort of fresh) donuts every Friday. One of the best apple fritters I've ever had, and I know a good fritter.

I guess KK thought it would be a slam dunk (awful pun) and walked away hurt. If only we could get VooDoo to deliver out here, it would be like heaven. But BB makes some damn tasty donuts.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather Greyhound. Sucks.

All day runs of a local DH track with the ChainReaction boys today. Knackered.
On my last run on a particularly fast section, a tree had fallen over the track on the landing of a blind stepdown corner. The girl I was following (Tahnee, who I posted about in the DH forum) slammed into it and slid under the tree, while I slammed front wheel first and catapulted over it. After checking we were ok, I laid my bike across the track above until there were enough of us to shift it. What really bugged me were the two other sets of skid marks of other riders before us who must have lifted their bikes over and continued down. Bastards.
