I am thinking of lacing up some new hoops

I have a bunch of 24" arrow dh hoops, they are indestructable but a little bit wide for most dj/trail tires. I am thinking of getting something a little narrower and lighter.

What should I be looking at, I am not really up un the bmx stuff, all I know is mtb type companies like Halo and Sun.

What about stuff like alien nation, odyssey and the like?

I am willing to try about anything besides sun, they are the only rims I have been disapointed with.

I can also get a bro deal on alien nation, if they are good rims. . .

I would go alienation runway at least up front and rear as well if your smooth. If not hazard lites are really sturdy (at least in 20" form).

Rynolites are nice as well but Im partial to odyssey and its offshoots (ie alienation stole and modified the hazard lite design...)

Ted, I know what you mean about the sun rims. Although a lot of people like the ryno's I was never a fan but I'm riding the Sun Envy's right now and so far they are working out pretty good. But also Odessey hazzard lites are now in 24, and they've been a staple on 20's for a while so........

Arrow frx rims in 24"? lighter and narrower than the DH rims you currently have but still fairly indestructible

Ok, small problem. All the hubs I have laying around are 32 hole and looks like Odyssey only makes 36 hole rims.

Next step, check out the skinny Arrows. . .

Anybody have experience with the Subrosa spank rims? Bti has them in 32 hole.

Arrow has the frx in 32 hole, I've had good experience with their rims so I'm probably just going to stick with them.

I have tried pretty much all of the rims mentioned here.

I agree stay away from alienation especially the runaway. Tires explode off of those rims.

Right now I would only recommend the odyssey hazard rim. I have had them on my molly since they came out. They are holding up 100% perfectly.
