Good morning !!

Its a great day to be alive. Beautiful weather ahead, and even dry trails to ride this afternoon. I hit the gym yesterday, then washed and tuned my mountain and road bikes. I love wrenching, even if there isn't really anything wrong.

So yea ... how is everybody doing??

Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday was largely uneventful. I did have a good workout last night. My upper body is almost back to full strength after that six week post-surgery gym layoff. The legs are going to take a long time though.

Tonight I have to bottle by latest double IPA batch. This one is going to kick ass since I did it correctly.

Good Morning!!

Well look at Mr. Sunshine Nick up here..^^^^ :D

A very nice evening yesterday. I grilled a pork tenderloin on my new charcoal grill, made some cucumber and tomato salad, and some Parmesan risotto for dinner. Very tasty.

4th wedding Anniversary coming up on Thursday.

Morning all! The week carries on.

GH, I had pork tenderloin last night too! Wife made a sauce with coffee, molasses, garlic and some other stuff, man, love me some good pig!

Flying Dog is by far too hoppy for me, but I love going to the brewery for their Saturday tastings..

Morning. I'm starting to recover from my combination weekend at platty/swine flu. Didn't feel like riding to work yesterday, even though the weather was great, but feeling a bit better today. I've heard word that some new structures have been built in the local trail system. I may need to make an excursion out there to investigate.

Did a total of 12,000 feet of descending at Whiteface....4 top to bottom runs plus 2 shuttle runs. I am knackered.
Sweet, how are conditions up there? Haven't made it yet this year. Great meeting you at Platty on Saturday.

Shut up and Ride
hello. I spent July 4th w/e (Thurs-Sunday) camping at east burke and riding the Kingdom trails, I did get a little wet & muddy but it was a good time. Sidewinder is better then Ever! Also, once the new trail Burnham down dries out it will be so stellar, lots of bridges and a big verticle drop.
And I even won a free night at the campground!
And # 2, JollyTime joined us for part of a ride and dinner at Trout River!

A little muddy but not bad - tacked up by the afternoon. Trail 27 (race course/Evil Empire) always scares me a bit with the big rock moves (as well as the open slabs covered in slime that seem to fall of the edge of the earth up top), but it got fun by the end of the day. Followed DH Mike for a run and he showed me some moves!:thumb:

They built a bunch of new trails and some good connectors as well. That place is on its way up.

Hey, you need to talk a bit more, had to ask JonKranked who you were! :D (PS, great riding with you as well, thanks for not killing my wife on her 1st day back on the DH bike!)

Ha, yeah, guess I'm not the biggest loudmouth sometimes. Glad Jon and I didn't kill the wifey, though we did sort of loose her at one point.

Morning all, not much going on today. Yesterday after work I headed up to the squad building and we found some stuff to destroy. Then we got out one of our rescue trucks and just started going to town on some of the stuff we found with various tools, mostly spreaders, cutters, and a sawzall.

That was good fun....Today probably won't be that much fun.

Morning all! Fun ride with a big group last night at Luther. I managed to keep the rubber side down for once too! Packing up stuff for a long weekend away while Syd is at the sitter (she likes to unpack whatever I pack). I am racing this weekend too so I need to figure out all the crap I need to bring. Must press more coffee so I can think.

Morning all.

Didn't sleep much last night because my dog Charlotte had surgery yesterday. The surgery was to remove her broken K9 tooth that broke this weekend after she flipped out from all of the illegal fireworks let off in our street. Unfortunately when the doctor was removing the tooth, an instrument slipped and punctured through to the nasal cavity. Apparently there is a 80%-90% chance of this happening because of how deeply rooted the K9 tooth is in the jaw. My fiance told me this is called a oral nasal fistula. It basically creates a hole from where the tooth was into the nose of the dog. So antibiotics went from 1 week to 3 weeks and now Charlotte has had a slow drip bloody nose since about 3pm yesterday.

Also while she was out they removed a small cyst from her side.

Shes in a ton of pain and cried pretty much since she got home until about 5am this morning. I didn't sleep much.

She has also been terrified of the 8x8 chain link dog pen she was in when the fireworks were going off. She refuses to go in there and shakes as soon as we put her in there. That night she moved the entire pen (probably 300-400lbs) that is also supported by cinder blocks on the outside a good foot and a half and managed to knock over a 5 gallon bucket of water, and tear some of the chain link apart. So the garage has been converted into a dog friendly environment (hopefully) while my fiance and I are at work.

One really cool thing that came from yesterday though, wheel truing FINALLY clicked in my head. I finally realized how to true a wheel. I am SUPER pumped on that. Seriously. Almost 5 years of riding and I could never get it right. Last night it just clicked and I was a wheel truing machine. Did all of my bikes and I don't think I have ever had straighter wheels. haha

Anyways, hope everyone is doing well and got better sleep than me last night. =]

Both dogs usually sleep inside and are inside whenever we are home. We went to visit my parents that night and could not bring them with us because they have a lot of small dogs that would not get along with my baby eater. They had been ok with fireworks in the past, but something apparently really freaked her out this year. =\

Haha no way, there is a bend in that hat's bill haha.

Yeah I am almost thinking our rowdy neighbors were drunk and lighting off fireworks right next to their pen. I wasn't there so I really don't know for sure.

Such a bummer their fun is costing me some serious cash and pain for my pup.
