And now I feel really bad about it. She's been my employee for almost 5 years and has definitely deserved it before but I finally cut ties. I DID bail her out of jail FOR FREE before I did it though so I guess that counts for something.

So now if she wants to stick it to me, she could just not show up at her court date and I would be stuck owing a decent amount of cash. :eek:

What? I'm all for hearing about dick moves but I fail to see how this one is. She gets arrested (and misses 2 days of work without warning), has no one else to bail her out, so I come along and get her out. She would still be there if I hadn't sacked it up.

Doesn't sound like a dick move. She did something worthy of being fired but you helped her out anyway. People are allowed to act seperately as employers and as individuals.

Ha, Kenan has been talking about firing this chick for months.
He probaly baked her a cake or something when he fired her.
Kenan is always going to go with being too nice instead of too mean.

I know where your coming from, my wife does this occasionally. It's only because she is kind. Sometimes people just need a little help and sometimes they will soak you for everything they can get. I have a heart like a frozen stone, so she's a good influence on me.

Yeah - I'm way too concerned about feelings and sh1t. I felt bad that she had no one to bail her out (her family wouldn't do it because they don't get along and her friends wouldn't do it because none of them have the money) so I thought that was the least I could do. It was probably the only time someone has been bailed out of jail for free as a severance package (even though technically is was a little different...but you know).

My son got canned when he missed work because he went to jail. His boss had bailed him out once and refused to the second time. I refused to the first time because I told him I wouldn't from the day he turned 18.

Funny thing is, his boss called him and asked him to com back because her business had suffered since he left. Nobody else would put up with the BS, so he got a raise out of it.

I am certain you aren't in the same spot, though.
