Pemberton can be VERY dusty mid-summer. I'd check out Squamish.

First of all, it's Squamish; there is no letter r in it. The second thing I know is that there are a ton of trails in the whole area. Even just in Whistler there is a lot of great riding outside of the bike park. I have a friend in Squamish who's lived there for about two years now and still hasn't found all of the trails yet.

The local shops in both squamish and pemberton have very good trail maps with pretty much everything on them. Buy a map and you will be set. Squamish is good all summer, pemberton is pretty dusty unless it has rained. Don't shuttle in squamish if it is raining or really wet though as the trails can't handle it. Other places nearby that are worth checking out are the north shore if you like technical riding and the woodlot in maple ridge and Vedder in chilliwack if you like faster trails with jumps and things. All are less than an hour out of your way if you are driving to whistler through Vancouver.

dwaugh, you got some very nice photgraphy skills. Nice work, I have some friends coming your way at the 1st of Sept. I know they are going to love it up there. Then there are planning on heading up to Whistler an the surronding areas for a 16 day trip. Again, nice photos.
