All of the "witty" comments are not appreciated. This is a very fuqed up situation. If it was your uncle, dad or someone else you cared about or had witnessed it, it wouldn't be so hilarious huh?
He's Old School. A few laps in the 111º heat builds a nice thirst...

Yeah I don't know what to say about the beat down, maybe the cop was just a jack officer.

Did the guy in the wheel chair have a weapon or not? If he didnt, the cop is probably your usual ****ing douche with a crew cut. What is with the crew cut anyway? Is it mandatory?

If the guy told off the security guard and then attempted to flee the scene... Why did he roll away into the bushes? Not the quickest route.

Maybe it's because I'm not a cop (or pretend cop) but when I'm insulted by a crazy guy old guy in a wheelchair my immediate response is not "escalate".

I'm suspect that we are not getting the whole story. A situation like that ends up with LOTS of paperwork for the cop, rent-a-cop or not, so they typically won't engage unless they absolutely need to. A rent-a-cop would lose his job QUICK for pulling something like that more than he needed to. For example, the words "I have a gun/bomb/concealed weapon and I'm going to use it" will get you yanked to the ground no matter what your condition or whether or not you are armed.

What was the guy doing in the bushes in the first place? I must admit the rent-a-cop did a piss poor job of controlling the guy. Looks like it dragged on about 10x longer than it really should have.

I believe their rule is no hair below the ears and hair must be cut to a certain length. I sure wouldn't take a cop seriously if he looked like a hippie.

I have relatives and friends who are or have been wheelchair ridden and of sound mind. A few of them have tempers too and don't mind sounding off if they feel like it. You sure won't catch the mouthing off to a cop whether or not they're in a wheelchair.

Lesson: Life is hard, but it's harder if you're stupid.

Well, I pictured some buzz cut mall cop douchebag with his knee in my step dad's back and I laughed out loud.

Kinda' reminds of the 20-something lady I saw pull up in expensive clothing, and pratically jog into the grocery store a few days ago...

...after parking in the handicap spot up front.

Three H.S. kids did that the other day in front of me and left the window down, I wanted to piss in on the drivers seat so bad.

He had no weapon and he was cutting through a small landscaped area to get a way from the cop.
Did you see the entire altercation??? There is a "new" crazy guy here that lives in an apartment a block away. He bought a bike. (thanks crazy guy) He then told everyone he would purchase the town and rename it. He then told my tenants next door he owned our building and they were late with their rent. He immediately followed up by badgering customers in my store. I took him outside to express my concerns about his behavior, where he said I violated his rights as a customer by telling him he can't sell crazy here. At that point he was leaving, if I had to drag him off of the property. He clearly had issues, but it's not for my business to suffer through them. Not saying I know what happened in Phoenix, but if it were anything like happened here, there was a reason. Just saying.

I think it's so "perps" can't grab a handful of scalp. Personally, if I were a rentacop, I'd go full-on mullet.

Judging from your responses to similar posts regarding cops/rent-a-cops, you are a cop, are married to a cop, have friends that are cops, or want to be a cop.

I disagree with your opinion, but I do like your avatar. Milo is the best. ;)

Now, I'm about as qualified a lawyer as Lionel Hutz, but unless that guy in and out of the wheelchair had a weapon, there is no way Mr. Not A Real Cop is going to stay out of jail.

We're not Brazil, where a shopkeeper can pay a security guard to shoot a beggar...yet.

Am not a cop. Do not like the idea of being a cop. Do have a very good friend that's a cop, but don't really get into it with him.

I just don't always think people are as oppressed as they claim to be. Most people don't get stupid on people until there is a need. If everyone would respect each other's spaces, sh*t like this wouldn't be going on. I am married to a librarian, but don't read a ton. :D

If Stinky was REALLY minding his OWN business, he would have continued on with out having to watch and tape what others are doing.

Come on guys, noone here knows the situation. You are only seeing the aftermath, and as of now we have the Almost informative Stinky to go with. The info we have is, he mouthed off, he got a beatdown. Now what we dont know is, was he stealing, and the mouthing off something along the line os **** you I am not stopping for your punk ass, noone here knows. I live in Socal now, I have lived in Phoenix, the home of hobos that return your pennies, and I am sad to say, but in both places, people do **** like taht all the time.

Hate saying it, but this is bad taste to speculate what happened.

Wow, that's insightful!

Did you say 'tape"?!

I'm minding my own business until I see some prick with "little guy syndrome" assaulting a man in a wheelchair.

Who the fuq are you defending? The random border jumpers that stood there and did nothing? The rentacop? Your point is what genius?

My point, You are the easiest person to get wound up, that was to get you going.

Own business is in my mind YOU not your neighbors cheating wife, not the hobo asking teenagers for change, not the douchebag rentacop beating a guy in a wheelchair.

Maybe I just had a little fun with the title to the thread.

Alright, everybody settle down...
Some people on this site love cops, while others love criminals in wheelchairs.
There is room for everyone.:D

Still stressed over this and I did not have a good happy hour tonight. The size of the security company and the direct warning from the PHX cop left me not wanting to fuq things up quite yet.

Also, ironically, Tara befriended me on Facebook today...

Helping would have been stopping it if it were so wrong in your eyes. Taking pictures did nothing but help create drama.
