Quantcast

A new ride

It's been almost 20 years since I treated myself to a new road machine. I still love my old Serrotta Colrado II with 8speed Campy ergo....she's been a good bike. But I felt it was time to step into the 21st century.

Expecting it late this week....can't wait!

I like it too. :D

edit - I need to get a new pic with my complete build. I wish I had the Sworks cranks, but find myself drawn to the old Force, which I put back on it. Just over 16 lbs with some 1430 gm wheels.

Very nice......This one weighs in at around 15.2lbs with no pedals. I was planning on putting some Look Keo Sprints on there. Should still be under, or cloase to 16lbs I hope.

I like the look of your white sadlle, I thought about swapping out the asaddle for white/red, and maybe some white tape and red hoods. Might be bit much 'flash' for me though.....not sure what I'll do.

Yes...Vittoria Pit Stop. Will seal some punctures. Stupid can slides off though. I think my tape trick will fix it though. I'll post pics later. I was running my PowerTap with clinchers, so I didn't need it, but that is off for warranty and I'm running Bonti Race X Lite tubulars again. The can is back for now. It's getting too hot to want a spare tire in my jersey so I'm eager to get my PowerTap wheel back.

Update:

Loving the bike, climbs like a goat. I've done a few high mountain rides and the stiffness really makes a difference compared to the old steel rig. Still making a few small tweaks to the fit and will probably change out the seat to a Fizik.
Here is a pic from the top of Sunrise on the Northeast side of Mt Rainier. It's highest paved road in Washington state at 6400ft.
