Anyone ever stripped these pedals? Little bit of play developing, so want to get some grease in there. I took little plastic cap of and axle bolt nut end. There seems to be two little washers in there, got one out. But cannot get the last one out. I thought hitting the axle through with hammer would drop axle out, but does not move one bit on either pedal?

I bet the second washer is actually a nut. Most unsealed pedals have a two nuts. The inner nut sets the preload on the bearings, (it's actually the inner bearing race, not a nut, but it screws on the axle like a nut). The second nut (the one you already got off) binds the first in place. The washer between the nuts should have a flat side which helps keep everything from turning and loosening up. I've always been able to jam a flat head screw driver in and wiggle it around to loosen the second nut.

When you start fiddling with it, be sure you're doing it over a clean shop towel. Once you get it loose, you'll likely have balls all over the place. No body like picking up greasy balls off the floor, hopefully you didn't beat your nuts too hard when you were trying to get your axle off. You wouldn't want to bugger up your nuts.
