Ok so I have an 07 SXT with an 08' 66 rc3x and Pushed rear shock. I really like it but recently I have been thinking of getting an Intense SS and putting a Fox Float or Van 36 rc2.
What does anyone think? Should I stay with what I have or switch?
It is my main dh bike that I use at Diablo.

I don't really see a point in switching. I feel like they are really similar bikes and the sxt might even be a little better for straight up dh. just my 2cents

You are right I like the sxt alot just wanted something abit lighter. My sxt is about 40lbs, I would like something around 36lbs or go back to a full on dh bike.

haha i know what you mean about the weight. I couldn't afford an SXT at the time so i bought an Enduro Expert. I upgraded the parts as i busted them and now its in the high 30s, maybe even 40 or so.

I just love the way it handles. I have the XL and the super long wheel base is sweet for fast descents.

I had a demo 9 before this that I got down to 43.5 lbs. I bought the sxt as a frame only and built it up thought it would be 37lbs or so but it is closer to 40 so saving 3.5lbs was no big deal. Only thing is the sxt is much more nimble to throw around and jumps easier then the old demo did but you have to be smoother and picky on your lines where the demo was pretty much point and steamroll.

I've got my SS built up to a sub 35lb weight (36float,monarch rear shock, but with some heavy a55 wheels). It's a blast at Diablo, I do have a Dh bike but the SS is my fun bike.

I'm working on bringing bike down to 33-34 range, and I'm 190lbs.
