As some of you may know i recently went out to Sol Vista for the National Champs race but hurt myself in practice and could not compete on saturday... But i wanted to say the one thing i liked about the course was the famous whoops towards the end of the course. I was wondering if we can get some whoops built somewhere on the mountain? I think it would be an easy addition maybe on greenhorn after the wooden kickers somewhere??? any ideas??

what do you guys think??

whoops are the best! only thing i really like when i rode mx. even if it was just a set of 7-10 one or two foot rollers on green horn it would be pretty cool.

EDIT; lets go put some volunteer hours in!

think of breaking bumps on steroids (but built in a way where one could double, triple them for smoothness and style) aye dennis hows that knee doin btw

i mean a commercial bike park might want volunteers because most importantly its free labor which any company enjoys and because trailcrew is currently out with broken wrists (yes plural for a reason)....this is not to say i'm volunteering my services tho hahaha

I side w/ Shrek on this one. Whisslah added a little section of whoops that are super fun to ride and I found myself hitting them every couple runs when I was there a couple weeks ago.

If people keep braking the way they do, it won't be much longer before we have whoop-de-doos on Alpine between the double and the next berm.

No work needed, old school MX style!
hey man its downhill riding its suppose to be rough! thats why we have 7-10 inches of travel on our bikes.

yea dennis, i went out there last year and saw the whoops! like well manicured braking bumps. did you get to really test them out? that would be a killer addition at diablo. they could build them out in the field with all the berms. great suggestion

yea i got a handful of runs down those whoops, pretty cool. at first you try to over power them and stiffin up but than you just let yourself relax and roll thru them easier. deff something you need to get use to, lots of fun.

whoops out in the skit area would be rad... but than you can only hit them on race weekends.
