I know this is in the wrong forum, but it gets the most traffic and i need help asap. I just recently got in my new 2010 fox 32 float my 4x rig (and i have a race on saturday!!!). It comes with 140mm travel and i want to lower it to either 80 or 100. So i popped in the cd that came with the fork and have looked around all over the fox website and tech center but still haven't been able to find a guide as to how to lower the fork. I thought it would be the same as the 09 versions, where you just add spacers, but there is no mention anywhere of this. Finally, just now, i came across this

so my question now is, does the new fit fork not use spacers at all? or is there simply just a pin to move from location to location on the shaft to adjust the travel. I am by no means an experienced suspension mechanic so i would like to have a pretty damn good idea of what i need to do and expect once i take the brand new fork apart.

Thanks a million to everyone in advance who is able to help me out

Sorry man, wish i could help. FOX asked me what travel i want on my forks, before they send them to me. I am straight clueless on the lowering process.:(

its super easy. do not touch the compression/rebound leg.

take all the air out of the left leg. remove the bolt on the bottom of the air cart. a little bit of oil will come out. take the top of that leg, left leg, off. slide the shaft, as shown in the pic you have there. all the way out. add the 20mm spacers they gave you with the fork, below the plunger shown there. it make sure the fork can't extend out. make sense?

then you need to slide the shaft back into the fork. flip the fork and add 15cc(?) of fork oil to the hole at the bottom of leg, the plunger in the leg will hold the oil in there. push the plunger so you can put the bolt back into the lower. then flip the fork right side up. at another 15cc(?) of float fluid to the top. then put the top cap back on. air up fork. go ride

PLEASE CONSULT MANUAL ON HOW TO TAKE APART AND SUCH. i have it there in my head. but my typing skills suck. good luck
