Quantcast

Northstar Aug. 9th!

Just a heads up, I'll be up there with a handful of other guys doing turns on Sunday.

I'll be on a bright blue Cuervo. Kick dirt my way if you see me!:D

I'm so stoked, first time up this year since having back surgery for a broken L2.
Gotta remind myself to not break myself the first day back....

In your pants
I saw your bike, but didn't see your post until today.

Nice lookin' bike, man. I think I saw you post on MTBR that you had just overhauled that whole bike, right?

Used to be big and green.....now she's all purdy blue.

Fresh powder and new pivot shaft, bearings all around on the frame, and that frame uses a lot of them! But heck, I got five years out of them.

Rebuilt wheels with flows and white spokes.
Elka 5 with a Ti spring.:D
New sneakers.
New Cranks/BB.
New chainguide.
Repainted fork lowers.
New grips.
Threw on a leftover roadie carbon post.
Fresh brakes pads all around and a solid flush and bleed of the brakes.

This all kept me from getting a new bike! hehehe

I can say that every minute and dollar spent on the refresh was totally worth it!:weee::weee:

Then I went and smacked my fork lower on Sticks-N-Stones and put a big gouge in the fresh paint.:think:

Was a good day.

Tune up for Whistler in 8 days. Woooot:D:D

Those El Cuervo's looks like what would happen if an Karpiel Armageddon mated with a Turner DHR.
Pretty much. Ventana was building the Army and Disco front triangles many years ago....until Jan stiffed them for tens o thousands of dollars....but I digress.
And Scott and Krispy at goride were instrumental in getting this thing sorted for their racers and what they were looking for in a race rig.
