I am trying to bring several bikes with me in the hope of squeezing in a lap or 2 on the XC course or ride the SD course after my race on Sat; but thus far can't find any openings in the schedule...:rant:

EDIT: both look good post the Cat 2 DH race on Sat!

Schedule change!!!! That was quick!

Now it looks like DH practice if Friday 8-3, Sat 8-3 and then all classes racing on Sunday (as opposed to Cat 2/3 on Saturday). More like a normal race!

Attention all Competitors, Team Managers, Tech Teams and Officials:

The Kenda Cup Pro XCT / Yankee Clipper Pro GRT will be held this coming weekend August 13,14,15,16, 2010, at Windham Mountain, Windham NY.

Upon further examination of the existing schedule and consideration for all athletes and teams we have adjusted the schedule slightly to best accommodate as many competitors as possible. With 5 events in 2 days this is no easy task, and we hope that the revised practice times and race times will help all with their existing work schedules and travel times. Considering the poor turnout for the Mount Snow 4X due to Friday qualifiers you might want to consider moving them to Saturday. Also, Saturday's Pro 4X is scheduled for 7pm. Sunset for Saturday is 7:56pm. I hope there are no hick-ups or guys & gals will be racing in the shadows of twilight...unless you have lots of lights that is.

A quick message to pass along that the DH at Windham is a UCI Cat 1 race! So, if you are a Pro & looking to snag points to race World Cups next year then get yer ass to the Catskills this weekend! Rumor has it there are only a handful of Pros regi'd at this point.

I mentioned this to them as well, maybe another phone call is due, BUT does anyone really care about 4x??

Windham is trying to bring World cup MTB racing to our backyard. I want them to succeed and /or hopefully break even, and if that means paying $10 for parking - I'm ok with that.

correction:

Windham Mountain is bringing the 2010 World Cup Finals to our backyard. They will succeed and if that means paying $10 for parking - I'm ok with that:thumb:

do the points still only last for 365 days? so if someone wanted to race the Windham finals next year, this points from this race wont count right?

yes and no

the points last 365 days but you only need to have the points at the time registration opens (almost a month in advance)... should be no issue

I will be there if i can rebuild my effed up cartridge in my 40. I think whiteface hates my bike. Upon inspection today, the bladder was caught sneaking out of the botom of the damper.

Anyone know if the Cat1 course is the same as the pro/ exp course at last years national?

Rice hater: you staying at the Delta House?

Jim Mac: I'm only doing DH, if you need an extra place on a car for a bike, I can carry one of yours, or throw in the back of the truck.
