Looks to be very similar geo to the Sunday. 21.25 tt, 15.23 stays, 74.5 ht is the only info I see. I still want to hear some feedback on one of these (or the sunday) from somebody who rides trails. I'm skeptical about the crazy high bb. I might just have to get one for market research!!

whats the height of the bb on your prototype? i have a feeling itll take me at least 4 days to learn to ride this bike, coming from the earth dragging low bb on my p1. and im kinda bummed about the tt being only 21.25. id like to see it closer to 22 in this case

I'm liking the look of that WTP.
Bars seem too small to me.
On the Sunday Model c the bars are defo bigger.
Reckon if you put 7-8 inch rise on that then you really woud have a scaled up bmx.
I guess one advantage of the WTP over the Sunday bike is that this comes as a complete.

12.7 bb height on my proto. Yeah, you'd probably have some major toe buzzing on this bike with a 21.25 and 74.5 ht.

It says the bars are 7", so it def sounds like they are following Sunday's lead. BB height looks about the same.

i would have said wtp was kinda ripping the styling of the model c, but then again, wtp had gold stem and rims on the 2007/2008 wtp 'unified 24.'

i think the 2009 wtp avenue rode great. i haven't ridden a model c--i'm skeptical about the 13.75"bb. (1.75" above axle level, the exact same as 1.75" above 10" axle level on a 20", or 11.75" bb. )

My 26" wheeled bike has 15.0" stays...
BB is stupid high, although I will admit I haven't tried a bike with one that tall.
TT is way too short, and HA is too steep. All in my opinion, of course.
If I designed a 24" bike, it would be more like this:
CS: 14.5"
HA: 72
TT: 22"
BB: 12.5" tops

as soon as my next check clears im fixin to buy this one guys. spent the last 4 days debating between the sunday model c complete and this, very tough decision but availability is the deciding factor. id like to buy the bike now, ride it thru winter and figure out which bike to sell when jump season comes: p1 or the avenue. worst case i sell the avenue after a snowy shred season and buy the model c complete.

oh yeah and cru, if your frame is becoming available soon lemme know asap, and with price. its hard to turn down a complete at less than $600, but i wouldnt be opposed to holding off on this purchase if yours had the right price to add to a solid custom build, since yours is already trail-approved dope

They are supposed to be in paint right now. As soon as they're done they will ship, but that will take awhile as well. I'd say it will be mid Dec at the earliest. Sorry for the delay on these... but I'm the new, small guy that kept getting pushed back in the factory... for WTP frames. How ironic is that!

I wouldn't hold out if I was you. If anything, maybe you could switch to one of our frames at some point using the components from one of these completes... $600 is a deal for a quality complete. Our frames should be priced about the same as most mid to high-end bmx frames.

On a side note, I'd also be interested to hear feedback from somebody who rode either this frame or the Sunday frame and then compared the ride to our frame... I'm still thinking about picking one up for research!

I have been riding the new Sunday Model C for a couple of weeks now. I must say, it's the best bike I have ever ridden. Everything that has been written about it is true and more. I mainly like to ride trails. My first day riding trails on this thing I took it to some jumps that are usually a little tricky for me and it takes me several runs to get through the set. First day, first run, made it all the way through. I have never felt so comfortable on a bike before. Jim C's ideas on the geometry work phenominally.

Yeah, I was really suprised Jim C wanted to interview me about the bike. I see all the awesome riders and stuff they post there and then there is me, the old guy of bmx. I feel like I don't quite fit in. I quess it would make since if he is trying to promote this to older riders.

damn, cool to see faure on here now. i saw the review too. both bikes look quite similar geo-wise, but components differ. it looks like the only major difference as far as completes is that the wtp has smaller bars.

just put in my order for the wtp today btw

Nothing worse than having to wait once you have your heart set on something. I have not ridden the wtp but I have ridden the Fit CR24 2010. Even though the geometry was similar the bikes were a worlds apart. There is something magic about that model c. It will be worth the wait. You can always get the frame, fork and bars and build your own but I know that would be more expensive.

i have ridden two Model C's. (one with the Sunday bars, the other with T1 small's). it's a well made bike that feels solid and looks cool.

. . . but the geo is not for me.

i think the bike may be better for shorter riders who would normally prefer a 20".

but if you're a tall rider who actually likes traditional cruiser geo, i think you may find the bottom bracket on the Model C is too high.

i think Cru's prototype with the 12.75" bb sounds like the best solution because it's right in between too low and too high. perfect median.

yeah, but with some tall bars on the model c or wtp it would probably feel alright. i really want cru's but i cant really afford to build up a bike right now

i measured one:

the Avenger does have a 13.75" bb.
bars appear to be 7" rise (+/-depending on how you measure)
top tube 21.25"
cs 14.75" slammed or 15.2" in stock position
