Wow, definitely has come a long way compared to the older video. Sorry to hear about you wife, I don't know the circumstances but at least your time is freed up to dig. Nice work man!

Thanks, guys. I'm serious, if anyone is out in the Sconie area let me know, I'd be glad to let anyone take a stab at it (big wheels are definitely more difficult, but it can be done. As for the wife, its her lose.

Real nice. Love how there are mini-dubs thrown in.

One thing I noticed, (and I'm having an issue with it on my track) are holding speed on the wicked tight berms. Looks like you get a crank in or pop off then end a bit. Anyone have any ideas to get a 5' radius 180 degree berm to either hold your speed if not get more?

It depends on where I am in a run. I'm not spot on everytime, but if you can figure out the sweet spot of the berm, how much lean, etc, you can rail and hold your speed, its all about being commited. If I took my brakes off I might get really smooth back there. If I get tired, though, I get sloppy, which makes things worse.

Hell yeah man, sweet yard! Can wait to finally own and start doing my yard right. I think I remember you posting up about your situation back in February a while back.... anyway, man you got the dog, a nice place, the track, the bikes, and the sweet Mini to keep you up! By that smile at the end it looks like it's working out. Feeling the song too, who is that???

Lol, I was actually thinking the same thing after somebody mentioned it.

JGill, I'm very blessed in so many ways, I thank God every day for being as lucky as I am to have what I have. Hopefully that comment didn't come across that I was lamenting the whole thing, just stating, ya know? But life is good.

No worries dude, just trying to be positive for you. It didn't come across that way at all. Just saying that you seem to be taking it well and that I can see why haha. Ex kept my dog and I'm still bummin (it's been a little over 4 years now...) Killer pump track none the less though. Didn't you use to ride a super dialed Fallguy? Still have it?

Oh, I figured out that the song was Alkaline Trio..... At first I thought it was a Gaslight Anthem song I hadn't heard. Good choice on music

that was sweet. definitely not a bad way to decorate the backyard
True story. My mom was cool enough to let me build trails on the side of our yard when I was in college. I don't think my stepdad was that psyched, but mom ruled the roost. Its sorta one of those things that I think actually looks good if you maintain it and all. I look at lips, landings, berms, and rollers and works of art (thats actually what I've been telling people lately when they ask what medium I enjoy using for my artwork. Dirt :D)

JGill, sorry about the drop on the song, yup, Alkaline is right. They are out of Chi, used to be bike messengers, crazy! Sorry to hear about the dog, just having Ruben around is so good, the house would be really empty without him! I still have my Fallguy, it gets whipped around the track as well, just kept it mellow with the 20" for this video. I really have tried hard to alternate back and forth to keep my feel up for each bike.

Tee Buck, glad you got out! The winters aren't exactly warm, but its all good. We have fun skateparks that are relatively close by with box rhythm.

Yeah that Fallguy is all kinds of sick. I understand the weirdness switching back and forth with 20 and 26ers too....20 has a layer of dust on it now

Actually, Dan the bassist in Alkaline Trio used to be in a band called Slapstick back in the mid-late 90's on Asian Man Records(probably my favorite band even...) Check them out, good punk and harder ska songs for sure.

Damn. That makes me want a pump track even more. We used to have an old one like 2 years ago in my friends backyard. It was so much fun and was pretty simple. I can't imagine how fun a pump track with multiple lines would be

Make the berms vert in the middle and a little higher on the entry than the exit and then throw your head at the ground when entering the berm. The g-out will pick you back up again. It is all about commitment when entering the berm. When they are tight it is almost impossible to fall to the inside from leaning too far.

Sweet set up by the way. We are building a mini ramp at my buddy's house and I just gotta convince him to let me add some dirt lines.

Hey Buck - thanks for the tip. Since the post I kept working on the berm trying different things - and ended up with exactly what you said. Funny enough - I rode it last night and it felt friggen dynamite. Almost vert in the middle and high on the side (the track will go both ways) and just commit. My oldest son was watching and he was saying how fast it looks when I go through it now. Pics and vids will come at some point...

I actually just did the other day doing the 360, its tight and kinda slow so you really do have to throw yourself into the half way point to have the speed to jump the little hip after, I washed on some moss or mud or something and ended up slamming into the mud puddle at the center. It felt good :thumb:

Normally, though, just leaning hard and looking through the berm at your exit gets you there (just like on a motorcycle, don't look at your front wheel, look where you want to go)

Just caught this. So sick. That set up is rad for how tight the space is. The design is titties.
If you want to go twice as fast, keep the same lay out, but add a foot of dirt on to each one of your burms. All vert. Guarantee you will almost double your speed for double the fun.

Thanks Zach, means a lot from you! I have been slowly building up the height, and I've got more plans for the future. School is starting so things might taper off for a bit, but its on the "to do list".
