Rumor has it, it is going to be another great course. While we won't know for sure probably going down lower quick draw at the end. Getting there sounds like the fun part. Keep checking the Snowshoe website for updates.

Congrtas man and have the honeymoon on the mt.
Thanks. Wish I could talk her into going to the 'shoe on that Sunday, but the wedding is on the 29th and my chances for going anywhere or doing anything on that Sunday are absolutely nil!

I did save grace and managed to swing a honeymoon in a pretty ideal location for some mtb'ing tho!!!

Congrats on the wedding. I went riding on my honeymoon too (Jackson Hole, WY and SLC).

The problem you have set yourself up for is that now it is likely that your anniversery will fall on a race. I have somehow been able to race out of state about 50% of the weekends that my anniversy have fallen on. So all of the single guys should take note of proper planning on wedding dates. kids birthdays too. Plan that stuff in the winter.

Yeah, I gave the summer wedding idea a bit of pushback, but we all know that ultimately the guy never wins those battles......ever!

I've learned over the years that checking the weather forecast for Snowshoe is a fruitless exercise, as it changes every day.

Case in point... last race forecast called for zero chance of rain on Saturday and 40 percent chance on Sunday... we get 2 1/2 inches of rain Saturday afternoon and no rain on Sunday...

*I know that forecast is out of Elkins but just shows do not put a lot of stock in any SS forecast

It's ironic....on Sunday, everyone 15-45 miles south of snowshoe thought the forecast was dead on. They were right about the rain. They just can't predict it neighborhood to neighborhood. So they look bad to the people that didn't get wet. Life as a weather man must suck.

All I know is if you were wrong over 50% of the time at your job, you would be fired. Weather people can get away with murder.
