Glad you guys made it out, we had 137 number plates issued. A couple backed out and some were injured so not that many actually made it to race day but we're thrilled with the turnout. Noah is a good little photog and made for an entertaining shuttle co-pilot on saturday (Helps when the co-pilot has a bag of monster sized cheezy poofs).helluva showing for the southeast with a bigger (i think) turnout than the beech series! i brought a rider with me to practice on saturday for his first experience with DH...on a borrowed bike...and he was killing it in a xc lid and borrowed pads
We've got an ASU DH tentatively scheduled for sept 26th, a cyclocross race in early nov and we'll try to announce a halloween open race ASAP so folks can get the calendar right. My entire involvement in the cyclocross race will be engineering some awful off-camber grass turns for them then drinking beer and heckling. The latter two opportunities are open to the public so any gravity riders that want to help out...should help out.

. Me and mueller saw it early Sunday morning, but we just said screw it and didn't put the pole back.
Once again I just wana thank everyone who came out and got down with us at the bird! I couldn't have imagined the event being a bigger success. I look forward to calling the play by play at the Bird for many races to come.
That course will be sick, fast, and fun when dry. Can't control the weather though. Good job organizing and pulling this one off guys!
After this weekend the rock garden should be called The Poop Chute.
My race run was my worse run but I still had a blast. It was good to see everyone again and I thought this was one of the best organized races I've ever been to. A big to everyone involved.

I really like that the boone crew did not race. I thought it was pretty dorky at a few other area races where the course designers raced and won/podiumed. The kids in boone have the right attitude.
After watching Fitz's video I want to redo my race run.

You guys put on a great event. It was my 1st DH race and I had a blast. The course was a lot of fun during practice and I'm sure it's super fun when it's dry. Race run was a little tricky considering it started pouring down right as us "old guys" started. 4 crashes - no broken bones - 13th place. I'm happy with that.

Ha ha, I don't have any pics of bizutch running me down, but here is the one of Jeremy trying take me out. I was already on the move when i hit the shutter button.Big props to you but Kinetic Images gets the award for most alloy and armor to the chest. After he showed me a pic of Jeremy running him over, I tagged him two practice runs in a rows!Can't let Jeremy beat me.

Considering how quickly I shot off the trail, I can't believe you got that shot.
And I can't believe I dodged you. I remember seeing a person and a tree,
and went for the tree. The tree "looked" padded, but that foam was about as thick as a newspaper.
Ha, I was laughing it up right after it happened, because my arm was numb.
That laughter went away by the time I got the truck.

Ah yes...the beauty and torture of Robert Seth's art. He does fantastic work, but refuses to allow anything out the door of the studio for us glory seekers that does not meet his high standards for photographic excellence.

Ha! Dude youre a trip. Ive got a ton of images to post from the Dirty Bird, but unfortunately I had a backlog of images to process before going into this past weekend. What is funny is that after begging you to snap pics of me so I can look cool, I proceeded to fly off course and try my best to ram you alone of all the dozens of people in the woods...at two different spots no less.Nah man, I didnt think you where dissing me at all. I just got a kick out of your way of presenting the complement. The joy and torture part made me laugh. When I used to do the parking lot racing (autocross), I remember chewing my fingers waiting for the photographers to post the images from the last race. For what ever reason I loved seeing photos of me and the old GTI, on three wheels, flat out getn it through the corners.
