Daaaaaamn gina

Do you have coche? If so, you can get to plattekill, which is maybe 30 minutes further than diablo, jiminy, which is maybe 2 hrs away, whiteface, which is probably closer to 5hr, highland, which is somewhere around 4-5hrs, bromont would be like 7, killington 5 or so, attitash 7, sunday river 8.

Anyways, of the options, Plattekill (Roxbury, NY) and Whiteface (Lake Placid) are must sees. Highland and Bromont next.

From Manhattan:

Platte: about 2.5-3hrs
Jiminy: 2.5 to 3(closer to 3)
Highland: 5(ish)
Whiteface: 4-4.5
Catamount:2.5(ish)
Hunter: 2.5(ish)

If you want to try some local jump stuff and cross-stuntry:

Cunningham Park in Queens( 210 st/67 ave)
High Bridge Park( Uptown Manhattan)

NO LIFTS but some good little jump lines, pump tracks, and some decent drops and such.

Hope that helps!

These numbers are much more realistic than the first set. As a point of comparison, Diablo is about an hour from Manhattan.

Beauty. Good info! Probably only gonna get one full weekend of riding out of this trip(14-16th). Maybe two. Like I said, Diablo is the only place Ive rolled up that way. Gotta decide if it's worth the drive to hit something farther. Prolly won't get another chance for awhile.

Sorry that my times were off. Never really traveled from there, only repeating what I heard.

Whiteface platty and highland would make for a very good trip. I'd rather do Bromont than Highland, but I prefer DH to bike park riding. If you like berms and jumps, Highland is certainly where it's at.

When are you going?

Looks like ride days should be the 14th-18th next week. My buddy is actually already up there, and doing all the work....so I'll just be crashing in the apt, and riding riding riding....:D:rofl: He'll be riding w me 15th-16th. But I'm flexible for a couple days into the week.

Plattekill and whiteface are definites, from experience. I've never been to highland but I'm really gonna try to get out there by the end of the season. I hope that works out. I've been riding more at Plattekill this season and it's AWESOME. Very different from Diablo, and Whiteface is different from the other two as well. Different terrain, different soil, different elevation. Hit whiteface once last season and it was very challenging but still awesome.

Hope you have a great trip. Can't go wrong with those three parks.

I thought you meant, "Riding from Manhattan".

I used to commute from the Bronx to lower Manhattan, and I have ridden to Albany as well.
