I am so god damn pumped about this race. Everyone was laying on the hate, myself included, awhile back but it really seems like this 'Champs is one of the more exciting in recent memory. The coverage has been over the top, especially from Vital (thanks guys!). Being a massive techy nerdball I am in heaven right now with the near constant bike updates on Vital.

I love how the teams and riders are really experimenting and testing what will work best, it makes me feel like I am watching an F1 race from back in the day when the rules were open and **** was hitting the fan. While I'd love to see Peat take it home, my fingers and toes are crossed for Barel.

Loving Mick's look at the champs as I thought he looked pretty drab all season.
GT must have loads of paint left over from way back - as he is looking like the original Flying Banana, Eddie Fiola!!

It's THAT pedally?!? That thing looks pretty rad all the same. So cool to see how everybody is approaching this race for sure. This is the first time in a while that there isn't a pure favorite for the win. Definitely a short list to a degree, but no "ringer". Holy hell!!!

F*ck yeah, Graves!!!

I wonder what average speeds are going to be on that track. Based on the footage I bet it's going to be something insane.

Well the last "sprint"/slug to the finish is 30ish sec long an on a 2.30sec ish track that makes at least %20 of the time flat out sprinting:thumb:
Im loving all the techie stuff and coverage(except for freecaster so far),funny how Trek went to the trouble of making those "mudguards" an yet mounted them with dirty great big button head screws.
Oh an go Ham Role/Ram Hole/Frodo/Cam Cole! hehe

last year it was 30-35's slog, with a starting speed around 35-40km/hr.
This year should be around 15-20 second slog, although they will be starting the slog a lot faster at around 60km/hr and keep that speed alot closer to the finish than last year.
i'm thinking 2.25 for the win.

Average speed last last year for minnar was 2.2km at 2min 41 sec, so 49km/hr?
This year around 54km/hr?(2.25 winning time) i think the math is right?.

At first I didnt think much of all that wind tunnel testing by trek, but when I hear speeds of 50kph to 60kph it gets me thinking.....

If Justin runs all that aero gear I'd say he will do very well, closely followed by UCI rule changes???

Hey gets a hookup from them back home in Aus.
Hookup? Like a sweet as sponsorship deal where he gets 20% off and heaps of stickers for his lid and fridge? Is Samuel gonna win worlds on a track no-one thought possible and then retire and line up with Eli Tomac in 2010 at Glen Helen? All makes sense now, Monster Energy-Factory Connection-Wild Willys Racing?

Very cool. I love the text: Wanted Dead or Alive Sam Hill. Wanted for attempting to steal the 2009 World Cup Championship from the Santa Cruz Syndicate. Hired gun for the notorious Monster Energy Gang other crimes include chronic abuse of the laws of gravity and physics.

I'm really enjoying following the WC this year!

Towing the party line.
Ullmer said he saved it for the bottom, and shouldn't have. Still, he made it here, and that's a big start.

Juniors close to ending, senior women hit the dirt in about an hour.
