Hill's getting soft in his old age - he knew he had it in the bag, eased up at the end. Disappointing! Still, a win is a win, good lad :)

After all the 'partners' Warner has had I think freecaster have found the best partnership between him and Scotty Beaumont. Hope they stick with the same line up for next year as Beaumont has been great throughout the year.

One of the best seasons ever made even better thanks to the FANTASTIC and constant info and coverage by Billy, Lucas and the Dirt boys, Fraser, all the guys over at Vital and of course freecaster! :thumb:

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU!

Pete Drew (one of the early rounds) was quite good too IIRC. But yeah, Beaumont was good. No Barel, but good.

The hilarious thing is we don't even really "have" a program - everyone in the UK bitches and moans about the UK race scene constantly - courses not long enough, not hard enough, not varied enough. Problems with uplifts, only 2 chairlifts in the country, Forestry Commission saying any shuttles have to be run with seatbelts for all occupants next year, etc etc. We (feel that we) get very little from the licence money we pay towards British Cycling (£65 annually and then about £3 IIRC of each entry fee goes to them too). General consensus is that most of the money ends up being spent on the road & XC programmes. (But to be fair, we did do damn well at the Olympics last year!!)

But DH programme? Don't make me laugh, there is no programme. Just a lot of people who love the escapism (life sucks, remember? :)) that racing DH gives them. Those 2 days every week where nothing else matters - love it :)
