Good Morning!!

I hope everyone made it through Monday in good shape. We've got the company CEO coming in to visit our branch later on this morning, so I've got to pick him up at the airport and ferry him around for the next few days because he's too cheap to rent a car.

I got started yesterday evening on my underground cooker. Got a 3ft by 4ft hole dug that is about 2ft deep. Going to line it with fire brick this evening and cap it off with a big steel plate. I'm hoping to cook a few shoulders this weekend to break it in.

Y'all have a great day!! :thumb:

Morning all! Lovely morning in the south of Maryland today. Went and saw the start of the new casa, I have a concrete lined hole in the ground!

Have a good one.

Oh, GH, save me some of that shoulder would ya? You Tarheels know yo' BBQ!

Morning folks,

Boring as sin night last night, but I needed some down time not doing anything. I recommend the movie American Splendor. Paul Giamatti plays the comic writer Harvey Pekar. Quirky and funny.

Morning all,
Cold and nasty yesterday. Played some Froza after work, then went to bed early and read for a while. 60 percent chance of snow tonight and tomorrow! I am so not ready for winter. The good news is, its Friday for me.

Good morning!
Today feels better than yesterday, my legs feel slightly better after a good stretch and workout last night. Man, getting old sucks!

Have a great day.

Thank you, sir....I will, however, be breaking from TarHeel tradition(shhhhh...don't tell anyone) and going neither Lexington or Eastern style with this one. I'm trying a Mexican traditional "conchinita pibil" shoulder with an achiote, sofrito and lime juice marinade wrapped in banana leaves. Should be interesting...I'll put up some pics later on this week as the work progresses.

I finally got around to hitting the trails this morning (first time in half a year, or thereabouts). It showed. I absolutely sucked; had no rhythm, was whacking my pedal on every other rock, etc. And to boot, after the first major climb, the oil reservoir on my rear brake lever started dripping DOT...gotta love a long, deserved descent with a squishy rear brake and no modulation. Awell...on the plus side, the remainder of my road bike should be showing up at the end of the week so I can get that project wrapped up! I think I'm starting to actually like riding on pavement...is there something wrong with me?

My bike is loaded up. I don't want to say how long it's been since I went on a trail ride but it's been a while.
I'm excited!

Mornin'.
Had a nice productive night last night. Stopped at the brewery for some brewski, bought a new hose & some canning supplies after that, came home, tapped the keg, sewed the beginnings of my new winter cycling cap (I may add ear flaps to this one), walked the dogs & then cooked pesto shrimp & pasta for dinner.
Tonight I think I will go for a ride & stop by the library on the way home.

Your ass is going to hurt tomorrow.
How did U know I'm getting laid tonight?

Just kidding, I know I rode my bike on vacation a bit on some roads and I couldn't take it. I do have some good padded shorts though.

Morning all! Met with half of my new 4th grade band students today -- they are SO excited that it's hard not to have fun with them...truly one of my favorite parts about being a teacher (that and warping the minds of children). Great LUNA ride last night but I did find out that a fellow rider had passed away from Pancreatic cancer :( Very sad to hear, but he did manage to ride almost up until the end which is amazing!

Sq-Earl rides tonight so Syd & I are going to be chillin around the house or at the park...depends on the rain.

should have hit this up first thing but i was in a hurry to get to drit demo.
ran into tinker juarez again this morn what a cool guy. hit up the demo and went ahead and rode a few bikes, the toes hurt but it was worth it.
demo'd cdale 140, giant reign, cruz blur, and marin mt vision. they all have different feel but marin mt vision by leaps was the best all around ride. super stiff, climbs like a cat and felt more like it had unlimited travel on the suckouts, prodeal yep.

Hey everyone! Yes, I'm still alive! Still living in Portland, OR and barely squeaking by... Sadly, I'm on today because I have to put my Covert up for sale. :( If you know anyone looking for a kickass trailbike, send them my way!!! Hope you're all well!
