She took 2 night stick shots to the back before while trying to move forward, I'm sorry but this is a prick cop situation.

Still stupid to do anything to a cop regardless, but I'm sure those cops in riot gear were afraid for their lives of that tough looking individual.

I've always wondered can you legally defend yourself against a police officer when they are pushing and shoving you like they were doing to these people? Most of us would probably react the same way as she did if it wasn't a police officer doing the pushing.

was she on a fixie? maybe that was why she was having trouble getting started down that sidewalk.

that one fatass cop really jammed his baton right into that woman's throat, too. he's lucky he didn't break her neck.

I would tend to be in agreement if I didn't know that the cops had been telling them for 25 minutes to disperse. The cops finally started taking 5-10 steps forward and stopping, giving the people warnings... waiting then 5-10 more steps. The part of the video you don't see is the transactions leading up to it... I watched it happening last night on live TV. The people were being kinda douchey. It is not a good scene nor does it portray our city in a very good light!

It accepts the police brutality or else it gets the hose again.

Thumbs down to zero tolerance policing. Left that cop with no place to go. With discretion available he would have just picked up her bike, plonked her back on it and told her to piss off and not be an idiot. Now he's a meathead picking on a 45kg girl.

She should have gotten the F out of there... WTF did she think she was going to do by lashing out like that?

I absolutely hate it when cute chicks think they are untouchable cuz they are (1) cute and (2) female.

I will teach my daughter never to get physical with anyone (man or woman) unless she is prepared to deal with any repercussions. Just cuz someone is female doesn't mean that they have some kind of invisible anti man forcefield. I don't care what society says.

The guy gets pushed off his bike to and just keeps moving... probably because society hasn't told him that he has the "female forcefield".

Love it!!!!!!

Should have kicked the cop in the balls instead of throwing an object with a poor weight-to-mass ratio!

I hope they have the next G-20 in San Francisco, or even better, Oakland!

Pretty sure that wouldn't change unless they took this scuffle to the moon...
I'm saying if she threw a 4 pound brick, a 5 pound hammer, or even a 12 oz can of soda, it would have made more of an impact than a 25lb bicycle.

So the ratio you were looking for was mass-to-area?;)

weight = mass * gravity....since this all took place on earth, weight and mass are proportional.

I kinda figured that was the case. Even with that scenario... the 1st shot is justified, the 2nd is a douche bag move.

Personally I think all the protesters are idiots. Maybe they should do something more constructive than sitting around yelling at buildings. Maybe get a job? They are so outraged they are going to carrya sign... oooohhh, that will make the world leaders pay attention.

However if I ever felt strongly enough about something to be out there, I would expect to be able to protest without getting assaulted... just because a cop doesn't want you to do it, doesn't mean that I'm wrong. This is America right? Freedom of speech and right to assemble... when did we lose that?

very good points...
but the flaw is that YES we are all able to assemble etc. BUT you need a permit! There were several protests yesterday that had no resistance and no violence... it was the stupid "Fake trust fund anarchists" and college kids who were just looking for a reason to create a ruckus that got in trouble with the MAN.

I don't think that all protesters are idiots, just the ones who smash windows for no reason, and act like a-holes... I saw some of them drawing in chalk on the street, others walking around texting... I just thought.... YEAH STICK IT TO THE MAN WITH YOUR CELL PHONE IN YOUR HAND!

If you have followed this whole G-20 crap her in PGH, there is a kid that runs this "resistG20dotorg" site who they have been interviewing non stop for a week now... he keeps talking about corprate this and anti establishment that... all while he talks through his designer 500+dollar glasses, and in his brand new black shirt and black pants... If you bought a new outfit to go protest against the establishment... you may not have a lot of cred in my book.

Maybe she was really frustrated that she couldn't upgrade to Windows 7 from XP.... I was combing the nieghborhood with my bike last night and if I came across a fat cop running windows 7 on his laptop I would have thrown my bike at him too.... Sobriety only helps so much after 3 pots of coffee...

i saw this is person last night, found myself in the middle of this whole thing.

Edit - better add i wasnt there to protest, literally got stuck in traffic so I parked and decided to check it out...Ended up getting gassed and shot at (rubber bullets) the gas wasnt that bad but i wasnt in the heavy stuff...

These people were all out of line, complete morons...chick deserved it. I talked to a few cops last night, all were really cool when they realized i was just sorta caught in the middle of the whole thing.

Come on, she went all Black Knight on the cop, and he laid her out.
Lucky he didn't have her leg!
