Yep, great stuff, but as my friend put it, "why does he use that same music in every film? I am waiting for the civil war to break out!"

Oh and ryebread, I am ready for the grand tour as well. Quit and hit several of the parks. As I flew into Seattle this summer we saw the mountains poking through and above the clouds, it really is amazing! I am not a big fan of hiking, but the series makes me want to hike!

Caught some of it last night. Pretty awesome. Makes me want to go out and ride a grizzly bear.

It's been a great an informative show!

Pretty amazing what they've been able to do. This country truly is amazing!

I've been watching it every night and plan on ordering the dvd set. It's really amazing! It makes me wonder, yet again, why I didn't go to forestry school so I could become a park ranger. Oh yeah, that whole 20/20 vision requirement... that's right. (at least in NYS)

Anyway, I am a political science junkie, so learning about all the hurdles they went through in congress to establish these parks has been really fascinating to me. I love the way John D. Rockefeller just went around buying up land and donating it for the parks while they were dragging their heels on the floor. That's totally awesome.

My wife works at PBS and they had a party earlier this week to celebrate the Ken Burns National Parks series, with cake and all....

GO! SEAHAWKS!
I have been watching it every night. They are also showing 30 minutes previews before each program on our National Parks in WA.

I think the show is great and very informative; I never knew they created so much controversy in the beginning. I have a slight obsession with visiting as many or our National Parks as possible :thumb:

one of the few occasions I would watch tv if I had it.

I suppose they will have it on DVD?

with this many monkies giving props it must be pretty darn good. have to look into it
Its a $99 on DVD. As I posted above, you don't need a TV - watch it for free on PBS' website until October 9th...
