that was pretty boring...

I didn't like the color of the rope - too dark.

in addition, I couldn't see anyone riding due to the lack of custom painted helmets and flashy TLD kits.

I give it a double "E" for Effin'Effort

1. Those Northstar dirt jumps are freakin' big.
2. Mammoth is ridiculous. Pretty much like riding in kitty litter.
3. I have that same blue Orage shirt. Did you get that at the Poor Boyz movie premiere at Lakeside last year?

Cool video.

Nice video.

I can't tell you how distracting the dragging string was in the couple shots where it was dragging along the dirt jumps, though - I kept fixating on it and couldn't concentrate on the riders

Great shooting, great riding.

Yeah kiss my ass. It's not my fault your eyes are allergic to radness.

That thing came to rest like 15 feet off the ground Those landings are 8 feet tall. You know I'm like 3' 4" right? I tried going frame by frame and masking it out but the result was even more distracting, looking like there was another dimension opening up on some of the landings.

Don't worry, I got a boating gaff hook to avoid this in the future.

Watch it, Luc. At least I paint my own helmets;)

That video is brilliant. All told, how long did it take you shoot all that and edit it together? looks like a Summer's worth of work at least?

Best vid i've seen on here in awhile. The backyard pump track was sooo nice. Some really solid DH footage in there too.

Thanks.

Nowhere near a summer. Just an afternoon or two of each 'setting'. Mammoth was two full days with no other purpose than to get footage (we got 4 whole runs over the entire weekend).

Editing took about a week of evenings after work and one or two obsessive late nights.

I've been making a lot of videos over the last year, I just haven't been putting them up here. The more you shoot and edit yourself, the more you can go out and be efficient with shots you begin to visualize ahead of time, especially if you know the area/trails. Being willing to prioritize shooting over riding is what most people have trouble with.

I 'member you snuck a teaser up in the 'creative writing' forum here once a-ways back, and took it down a short time later. Made me think you were working on a full length (whatever that means) feature.

Anyway, I've pretty much watched this clip every day at least once since it was posted in the DJ forum. It's that good, both the filming and the riding.

LOL - you're assuming that I'm taking a jab at your videos but actually I wasn't. Mostly making fun of all those retarded thread with endless debates about kits and custom flashy parts.

That was wicked. I'm not a huge fan of jump footage, so I kinda fast forwarded through that stuff (even though it was good, it's just not my cuppa), but when I got to the DH footage, I was stoked. Makes me angry I'm sitting here at my desk in my office, and aching for my night ride tonight. Great music, editing, pacing, everything! thanks!

Great stuff :thumb:

I think that makes 3 - or maybe 4 - of your vids on my hd. Like slyfink, I'm not a huge jump fan, but as always your videos are just so damn well made I didn't mind it.

Jury Hat Trick is still my favorite, though; never gets old.

Wow. I never use this word, but that was indeed "rad". You're a regular Roman Polansky.

I might as well just go sell my bike now. It appears I'm doing it all wrong.

Damn man, nice work! Love the bar hump, and your line through (over?) the rocks at 6:17 is pretty friggin' sick. Your vids are definitely gettin' a lot better. Pretty rad to see Karl throwin' down at the jumps too.

Must spread rep.

Great vid/riding/editing/trails. Gave it 5-stars on Vital because there is no option for 11.

Awesome video- makes me stoked to go ride!
Just curious, I thought you rode a demo 8 in the past, what are you riding now (for dh)? Thanks for sharing the vid!
