thought i'd share some pics....there isn't enough of that going on around here....

that shot in the berm is a pretty clear sign that i need a second flash and some pocket wizards....

and the non riding shot is to give some perspective on how steep this track actually is....it's steep

Cool photography. Makes it look about 10x more technical than it actually is.

3rd one kinda looks like he doing a superman seat-grab or something while looking behind him. Tricky....
Hacktastic, when we gonna go ride those?

I don't know, whenever I have a good reason to drive down there other than that. It's fun, but not a full shuttle, and very short and not steep.

I do ride, plenty. It's just 3-4 hours from here once you throw in traffic - further for Gemini since he's 1.5 hours north of me. There are other rides down there that make more sense to drive that distance for. I'm somewhat bitter with LA traffic lately...

Put in...12k vertical today? Not bad starting at 2pm. :thumb:

Wait......but there aren't any lift access spots in socal?
Unfortunately (and surprisingly) no. :( Big Bear disallows DH bikes. Mt. Baldy isn't worth it. Northstar and Mammoth are in Northern California. We basically shuttle (or ride/push up) ourselves (and take shuttles wherever/whenever they are available).

Just saw you are from Santa Barbara. Obviously you were joking...

Steeper than the rest of the stuff there, sure. I didn't say it wasn't good though.

Cable guy - you are correct. The lifts at Big Bear do not permit DH bikes. And Mt. Baldy? Don't even get me started on that place. Soooo not worth it....
