after longing for one of these for a while, i have finally got it and built it up.

it is in a rideable state now, but a new wheelset (and fork one day) will be on the way as soon as $$$ start to add up again.

i havn't got it near a scale yet, but it feels good.

Nice build. I'm also a fan of those frames. Probably the most interesting budget cro-mo dh frame. We need more such ideas.

thanks, i agree they are great frames.

but i would not call a hand made frame dialled to your geo, budget!

they are a bargain, not budget.

The word budget never suggested build quality ;) Just meant you get a lot for the buck. Though most of the dh frames are hand made and I know a lot of local made companies that had serious build quality issues so I'm not really hard on that part. The bike quality is usefull the the point it allows it to be lighter/stronger or in any other kind better but for bling factor? Unless it's a nicolai I don't care. ;)

Warsaw pretty much sums it up, no wonder your a nicolai fan.
i like their bikes, but no matter how many times i look at this bike ( http://www.nicolai.net/products/e-frames/e-lambda-st.html ) i still hate it :D

I don't get the Warsaw part. We have some nicolais here but they are the old ones.
The ones I like are the new ones and the ion st looks bomb. Labda always scarred me with it's sack smashing suspension ;)

Well there's more than one way to skin a cat and this is how I skin em,

Bike's looking good Jimmy.
I should know in a few days if I'll be free to go to Roto on wednesday if there's a spare spot for me?
I'm itching to try out my new gravity 777 bars.

Could we get some more photos close up of the linkages and doodads? Looks really well thought out.

edit: never mind I found some others. Similar in performance goals to the Corsair Maelstrom, but way more elegant.

Most of the people hate them around here but I like to see some curves ;) Though I think we have less crazy engineering that you think ;) Nowhere close to other countries and so far I wasn't impressed enough to buy anything polish besides a dj frame (though Foride/Antidote, lately zumbi and some others show promice, there is a chance of nice and well priced hubs soon). We are far behind the rest of the euro bike nerds ;)

Jimmeh,
Where are you located? How did the design process and shipping go?
I am from nz, had no problems what so ever. i went and collected it as well, as i wanted to meet scott and see how they are made. really cool to see the peices coming together. emails were replied to almost instantly if not overnight. i can't say the same about other bike companies i have dealt with.

there have been 3 (i think) frames go to the UK now. with no problems if that helps:)

weighed it today, 17.8 so 39lbs. pretty happy really as that was with no real attempt to cut the weight down. i think i could go crazy light with not too much trouble.

Nice bike, I like the look of it. :)

One quick thing I noticed however.. did you zip tie the cables with the excess zip-tie plastic sticking outwards? You might want to zip tie them the other way around so you don't slice up your legs.
