I continue to be baffled by the right wing establishments fear of the gays (outside of the religious nut bags). With out the religion argument, why fear gay people? Its not as if there is going to be some legal requirement for sodomy if you treat gay people like, well, people. Pretty much every industrialized country in the world except the U.S. lets gays serve. Even Israel allows gays to serve, and that's a country with some severe religious hangups.

I know a lad (in the UK) who was refused employment in our military because they were concerned about his "violent tendencies". Somehow I thought that would have been useful... Shows what I knows.
