Nicely done! You're obviously worlds smoother than I am to be hitting drops like that w/o consequence. I've already got 2 broken frames on my record, and I don't want my 29er HT to be #3.

That depends on the smoothness of the rider, but likely longer than any suspended bike. I've got an operable rigid from 1989 that I have dropped off all kinds of stuff.
exactly. most of the 29ers I have seen could handle plenty under a skilled rider, but on the other hand, not much at all from unskilled ones. most are XC oriented, built for efficiency and not burl. that doesn't mean you can't do other stuff, you just have to be smooth.

I think a lot of people tend to be lazy about smoothness on FS bikes which is why they don't last as long. that, and the fact that suspension encourages people and makes them do things they might not have skill to do smoothly with a fully rigid bike.

Wow, I try to stay light on smooth on drops that size on my FS DH bike. I wouldn't try a drop of any size on a rigid bike because of the shock to my joints. Ouch!
