Haha, that was me!

Were you on the Yeti or the orange Ibis?

Any interest in doing some shuttles on the grade tomorrow? shoot me an email BCart1 (at) gmail.
That was me on the orange Blur, my buddy on the Yeti. My DH bike is out of commission (rebuilding it before I sell it) and a new Session should be at Foothill for me today.

Tower run later today, sent ya an email.

Here is mine.

It has a 10.5" RC4 with custom damping. A Syncros 790mm bar with a true 0mm DM stem. A Risse flat top crown with the top of the headset removed to get the bars lower. A 0mm bb drop and a 63° head angle with 425mm chainstay length.

It feels great like this on the Champery track. Speaking of the track, check out this rocket I found on the trail while digging last week. It was about a foot or two under the surface. I wonder how that got there.

Spinner, hows the finish holding up?

Is it cleared or do you touch it up with metal polish?
No , I didn't clear it , but the Meguiars metal polish leaves a "wax" like coating which helps reduce oxidation. It's holding up fairly well , probably could do a with a polish now (4-5 months on) but the worst thing is we just went through a very muddy winter here so the top tube and swingarm sides got scratched up from muddy shoes and shinnies rubbing on them.

I haven't tried to buff out the scratches yet. I don't know whether a clear coat would have stayed scratch free either ?

Jeez... I've gone through 3 downhill bikes in the past year!!

Last year I had an iron horse yakuza. That bike alone went through 3 different phases.

As the original:

The saturday: (Yep, I did put a double barrel on a yakuza!

Raw:

Then the sunday came along. Still one of the best bikes I've ridden.

I sold it over the summer after getting a sweet deal on a morewood. Now it's cracked and I need to find another downhill bike.

A quick riding shot:

Here's my new bike.
It weighs 15,62kg (34,40lbs) with Alligator WindCutter rotors (not on pics) and some Ti bolts. Giant Connect SL carbon seatpost will be on board within few days. Future upgrade/change/option is Ti spring or/and Manitou Evolver IXS-6 Intrinsic shock.

It this the bike HaveFaith designed and built?!
Yuppers, we had it on loan for a few months to race upon and see how it handled on UK courses. G-Boxx was supplied direct from Universal Transmission in Germany and the forks from Kowa in Japan. I'm very happy to say it blew everything else out of the water!

But, I guess, it's not a plow ;)
Looks like still a gripshift type.
Yep, gripshift style shifting, quick and precise, no need to pedal to get the gear, it's instantaneous. Colin's been hard at work with the electronic shifting interface and that's coming along really well, it's being fully documented on another thread on here somewhere.

Definitely not a plough, unless you mean through rock gardens and down over slippy off camber roots, where it just glues you to the ground!

Have you still got this bike in the UK? Shame you didn't do any jock races, I would have loved to see this thing in action! :(
It's gone back over to Colin now, Nick (Turner) was racing up there on the latter SDA's on if I'm not mistaken.

At the moment Nick's got a Bandwagon being built and we're waiting for one of the new Spooky split-pivot downhill frames to be sorted out.
