I think that is a big leap. I was thinking more along the lines of armed resistance. I heard a report on the news that front line Iraqi forces were issued chemical nerve agents today. Two cannisters that when combined are quite deadly. They used them on the Kurds a few years back.Originally posted by valve bouncer

That surprises me as most of the front-line are reported to dislike Saddam and are likely to surrender given the opportunity.

It's a leap, but I don't necessarily think it's a big one. I mean Dubya will look (more) foolish if they go in and don't find anything. Ah then... you are alive. And no, carpet bombing isn't as cost effective as it used to be. Not to mention the "bad" press that almost always immediately follows. I think we might have moved on to economic warfare - starve them into submission.
