i've been working on my "look" and have someone helping me with a website.

for those that know me...going through school was extremely difficult because i was also going through an ugly divorce.

3 years later i'm happily divorced with the kids and i settling into TX really nicely. :) i am now about to jump in with both feet at my next career. I have already been working with some clients from our mountain bike club with great recommendations.

and so the door opens. :) thanks to you monkeys that have supported, encouraged, motivated and entertained me throughout this journey.

Come on, I think happy endings all the way around for RM members is just polite.

Good job!

We'll be heading up to cameron park and possibly somewhere in south dallas (dino valley again?) for some riding over the holidays.

Let me know if you want to ride.

Congratulation.

I would not spend too much money on a website. Connect with clients and build long term relationship on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin etc.

Your business is about referrals and keeping customers coming not some random visitor on you site who signs up.

On the site make a personal video its yourself that you are selling.

thanks everyone for the great ideas.

currently i have another massage therapist that is helping me with the web site. i took my business card look and formatted it for web and now he's gonna code it and get it hosted for me.

i looked into the domain names and there are a few choices that are very similar to what my email address is...so i'm in good shape in that regard.

once he codes it for me he's going to put it into a content manager program so i can easily edit/add content, pics/videos, etc.

i'm figuring in the next couple of weeks i'll have that going. for his site, he also uses twitter to keep in touch with clients; informing them of any last minute openings. so i'll probably do something similar like that.

i DO like the use of a video. that will take some work and finding help for that.

it's all rather exciting. with lots to do all while i still maintain the full time job long enough to make a complete transition between the two. but my goal is to be a full time MT and only freelance graphic designer by this time next year.

Front Range, dude...
Good on you!. I love a good massage. Nothing like being worked over by a good masseuse or masseur.
(Pay no attention to the happy ending jokes, they come with the territory!)
