Great Pics. NC has so many spots that are just awsome. I hope we keep
making progress in getting the resorts to see the great potential in our sport.:thumb:

anyone know anything about the buncombe horse range trail that comes down off mt mitchell? looks good on the topo map and my trail map says it's open to bikes, just wanted some feed back from anyone who's ridden it.

all I'm going on is a NatGeo trails illustrated map. can't really seem to find anything web based that has the trail layout on it. if no one has any info on that one then I'll take any suggestions on good trails for this time of year. most importantly bottom parking info. rocketmatt17, myself, and another friend shuttled heartbreak about a month ago and put our bottom vehicle in the wrong place. ended up having to ride thru old fort a lonnnnng way back to the car.

I feel that. You ride in pisgah much?

I grew up riding in the brevard/mills river area...now I spend most of my time in Wilson Creek (lots to explore) and a few other Boone area spots. Hoping to really start bringing DH to the ski resorts in the area in the next few years though.

AlmostHeaven-I don't have any shots of that ladder. Its pretty broken down and it jumps over an awesome high speed fall-away turn (as you can see) so we just skip it.

Will you be home for some poop chute runs during the holidays?

yea, id love to see more resorts open up to DH in the next few years. That would really promote the sport. ever ridden a trail called greenslick?
